Shouldn't his middle name be spelled Washington?

William Kennedy
Of what was he a captain? Was he miitary or a lake boat officer? He was mistakenly shown to be Captain, Co. E, 118th Ohio Volunteer Infantry Regiment in the Civil War by the W.P.A. on his Ohio Veteran Grave Registration Card. Only problem is that that Captain William Kennedy is buried in Salem, OH. See Memorial #26751802. The Monroe Cemetery Captain William Kennedy is a different Captain William Kennedy.

RE: DeMoss Family cemetery
No, it is off of River Road, West Nashville/Bellevue area. Google map "Stringfellow" rd to get a better idea of where it is.

Eva Hall

Could you please remove the memorial for Eva/Era Hall? Grace (Tolbert Hall DeMoss and Eva Hall's granddaughter) and I intentionally didn't create a Find A Grave memorial for her because we are waiting for birth, death and marriage records on her to verify that she did in fact die in childbirth and is actually buried in the cemetery, or if she left and lived her life with the Hall family under another name and died in Florida in the 1950s. We are trying to unravel some family stories. There was a reason we had created monuments for the children and not for the mother. Thanks for understanding there are actual family of these people working on making sure the actual facts are cleared up for future generations.

Tolbert Hall DeMoss
Tolbert Hall DeMoss left his children in the care of his parents after Tolbert Hall Jr. was born, his wife supposedly dying in childbirth. (However we are investigating the possibility that she may have actually left and lived with members of the Hall family and later remarried. Documents are being sent for.) After Tolbert Jr.'s birth Tolbert Sr. took up with a woman named Imogene Norman in New Madrid, a 14 yr old hall/bar girl. He then drifted in and out of the children's lives. He may show up in Census, but he was not actively living with his parents Jesse and Lula Belle. Tolbert Hall Jr. is NOT the son of Jesse and LulaBelle, he is the son of Tolbert Hall DeMoss Sr. and Eva/Era Hall DeMoss. There ARE people who are descended from these people and know their story.
