john turner
hi. i'm visiting in cave city and went to search for the john turner tombstone. i asked the lady who has the burial records and she stated that there were two john turners. neither one died in 1932. do you have a middle name for this person? i'm only in town for one more day, so would need a quick response.

RE: Byrd Cemetery
Thank you for your prompt reply. No, this would not be a black cemetery. I'll keep searching.

Perhaps I can find some topography maps of the area. I have been successful in finding old cemeteries in Georgia and Florida by using those types of maps. I want to make a trip up to South Carolina next May to visit more family cemeteries.

Byrd Cemetery, Florence Co., SC
I'm searching for a cemetery that's called Byrd Cemetery #2 that's located at Sardis, Florence Co., SC. My great great great grandmother, Hannah "Anna" Scott Byrd, was supposed to be buried there in Sept 1864. She was the widow of Redden Byrd of Darlington Co., SC. I've yet to discover where he was buried.

Is the Byrd Cemetery that you cited at Lake City, Florence Co., SC the same cemetery as the one that I'm searching for? I've visited the one at Timmonsville so I know there's at least one other Byrd burial place. I'm from Florida so I'm not very familiar with the countryside.

If it's the same cemetery, I'll add a memorial to Hannah "Anna" Scott Byrd (1802-1864) there, otherwise, I'll start a new cemetery.

RE: Wilhelme graves
If you haven't noticed I found a marker for Nicholas Wilhelme d. 1901 and added it also. We only found the 4 markers. The pipe that runs in front of the two markers is a short fence around another marker just in front of them. I took the pictures so that all that was written on them is visible. Glad you like them.
