 | Jackson info I called Oak Hill Cemetery in B'ham today. Mildred is buried there with her parents and little brother, too. Thanks again, Meredith. Aren't you a descendants from the 1st child of Rev. A H Mitchell, via Rev. E D Pitts? | | | Fran Bundy
 | Jackson Information Read some of the articles to Bob tonight...he thought that was so nice of you to send them to us. Thanks again, Meredith! | | | Fran Bundy
 | RE: R. D. Jackson & Sarah Mitchell--wedding date found! Great article! Thank you so much. I'll post it on his memorial or at least make a copy of it. Dr Jackson was my husband's ancestor for whom it was named, so when he comes it, I'll read it to him. GREAT stuff. I really do appreciate your sharing the articles with me... I knew most of the information; however, it really "brings them to life" again. Thank you. | | | Fran Bundy
 | RE: Mildred Jackson Meredith, Thank you so much for the article. No, I have never seen it. I knew about Mildred dying as a toddler, but that's all. I appreciate your sending it to me. Sincerely, Fran | | | Sandra Brookshire Behne
 | Hattie Lloyd Thanks for the corrections. That information was provided by someone else. I changed her mother's information. | | | Donald G. Dalrymple
 | RE: Water Valley city cemetery I have an 1884 obituary that says:
"The funeral services of the late Walter Jackson were performed by H. M. Sydenstriker, at the Presbyterian church, on Thursday, from thence they were conveyed to the city cemetery, accompanied by a large concourse of friends."
I was at Oak Hill Cemetery today and regarding Walter Jackson - Oak Hill Cemetery has no record for this man. However the records from that time are not very complete. For the whole year of 1884 there is only one burial recorded and it was not Walter Jackson.
If he was buried in the City Cemetery it would Oak Hill, unless he was black.

 | Carson Cemetery-Macon Co., GA I see that you took a photo of this cemetery or at least one on the memorials. I surveyed this cemetery years ago and I did not find 30+ graves there. Did I miss some or have the posted some here that should not be here. The coping on the gate read Bryan so I assumed that was the name of the cemetery, but that is not anything other than where are the other 20 graves? Thanks, Brenda | | | Barry Colbaugh
