Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am Bob Jackson. I am researching both sides of my family. My father's side is Jackson and Williams families of Dunklin County, MO. My mother's side is Torbeck and Rebbe families of Fayette County, IL.

I have visited some cemeteries and added some pictures. My frustration is that I missed some relatives because I have not found an efficient way to search a cemetery.

RE: Mary E. Scarsdale Toler
Hi Bob, Thanks for checking your records. I changed Mary E. Scarsdale Toler's memorial to show she is buried in Ebenezer Hall Cemetery, Lick Creek, Union County, Illinois.
With kind regards,
Paul

Cemetery for Mary E (Scarsdale) Toler
Hi Bob,

You created memorial 58246960 for Mary E (Scarsdale) Toler and recently transferred it to me. Are you sure she is buried in the Missouri cemetery as indicated?

She and her husband Richard C Toler are from Illinois, and her child Mary Toler is buried in Ebenezer Hall Cemetery in Lick Creek, Union County, Illinois. Mother and child each died in 1892. Photos of the gravestones seem identical except for the inscriptions.

I suspect mother & child are buried in the same cemetery and each is memorialized on a different face of the same marker.

Please recheck your records to see if Mary E (Scarsdale) Toler is actually buried in Ebenezer Hall Cemetery in Lick Creek, Union County, Illinois.

With kind regards,
Paul.Reichenbacher

As you drive into Tucker Cemetery there will be a sign with New Tucker on it. She is buried on that side of the cemetery. Her stone is near the edge of the road and easy to locate. My number is also on the sign if you should have any difficulties or questions.

Just looked at some of the memorials at Tucker and I think most of them were done by Debbie Mims and Lois Barnes. The member id is 47128363. The link is LDJ1055@hotmail.com. Hope this helps you.

Photo Request
As far as we know, all markers in the old part and maybe the new part have been photographed and posted to Findagrave. There are many graves without markers. So if there is no photo on Findagrave there is not a marker. Check with the lady who did the photos. There should be a link to contact her. When we met her at the cemetery, she indicated that she had already posted everything. If we can be of further assistance, let us know.

RE: Mary Toler
Thanks Bobby. Unless you know otherwise, you may want to note Mary Toler was born in Union County, Illinois. MAYBE she was born in Lick Creek, but I found no references saying that. Her parents were married 08 Aug 1889, and the 1870 & 1880 censuses show them separately living in Stokes, Union County, Illinois. Mary's mother Mary E. Scarsdale-Toler was born 23 Feb 1869, and her child Mary was born 24 Feb 1892. The mother died less than two months later on 13 Apr 1892 and her child on 30 Sep 1892. The father Richard C. Toler married Mary E. Scarsdale's sister Lula Ella Scarsdale on 31 Aug 1892, only 4 months after her sister's death. The 1900, 1910, 1920 & 1930 censuses show Richard and Lula Toler living in Bloomfield, Johnson County, Illinois.
With kind regards,
Paul
