Most of these memorials are based on personal research from my family history (birth, death, marriage, military & other records). Other information was taken from grave markers or obituaries that I've discovered over the years. Cannot guarantee the accuracy of all these memorials, but believe most of them to be correct.

You know alot about our family.I added you to my friends list.One question.On Joseph Cooper Hunts birth,death and burial would you have any info on the dates and burial place.I have searched ancestry.com and all over the internet and can find nothing except for his marriage to Sarah Harden,and children.I am guessing on his dates.Although on a note pad handed down from my grandparents it has his date of birth,and death but that is 3 years before his last childs birth.Unless the date on his last childs(Edwin Clarence Hunt) grave marker is wrong on his birth.(dont know)

Hello Georgia Girl,
Please note that I have deleted the above duplicate record on Esau Goodwyn buried at "Sweden" Goodwyn Family Cemetery in Dinwiddie County, Virginia. Please click on the picture his marker which I have added to your memorial and read the caption which points out discrepancies between your information and mine. I think that it is fair to let the reader see both conclusions and this hopefully will stimulate more research of available sources. The main differences are I have Esau Goodwyn born in Dinwiddie Co. not Sussex Co., VA. His mother, according to my records, was a Miss Peterson who married Joseph Goodwyn. Miss Peterson was born in Isle of Wight Co., VA, to John Peterson. Joseph and his wife Miss Peterson named a son Peterson Goodwyn (my line) who served as a Colonel in the Revolutionary War, and as Congressman from his district for many years in the Cogress of the United States.Added by Wilkie on May 07, 2013 4:17 PM | | | | [View all messages...] |
