I have been researching my genealogy since 1999. My family search includes cemeteries in San Antonio, Tarpley, Bandera, Utopia, Coryell County, and the surrounding areas. I can't get to my Louisiana family very much, but I do try to research them as much as possible.|

That was one of the nicest gravestones in that cemetery. You are very welcome!

Mary Creamer said that she photoed this cemetery over the course of 2 yrs. and could not find a tombstone for Joachim--but thank you for the offer. I live in Houston. She also posted an obit for Joachim on the Find a Grave page. I am needing to get a copy of the newspaper page this was taken from for my DAR regulations for my supplemental application. Do you happen to know who submitted this info?
I would be interested in seeing your husband's Joubert line to see how we connect through that family.

Joachim Villeneuve Joubert was my maternal grgr grandfather and I was hoping to get a photo of his grave (if there is a headstone) in the St. Landry Cemetery in Opelousas. I would be glad to pay someone to do this for me, since I live in TX. I am needing photo to submit for a DAR supplemental ancestor on my mom's side of the family. Thank you for posting his info and the copy of his obituary on the Find a Grave site. I recently received a copy of his will.
Would appreciate any help with this.

You are correct. The little boxes were suppose to look like grave markers as none were present. The tall headstone was furnished by his insurance company. If you bought life insurance from them, the promised to provide a large headstone, per info from the cemetery office. I did put a "No Marker" picture down below and will send you a not next time. They rest in a nice shady area. Let me know if I can be of further help as this is my great passion since retirement in January. Have an awesome week, Kay (Katie)
Links and edits made. Thanks so much for sending the information. I appreciate it!
