I'm a Christian wife & mother of 3. I've lived in Historic New Boston all my life. I'm a 6th generation family member to live in Mercer County. My linage = Gen #1 Col Andrew & Mary (Lloyd) Myers. Gen #2 WM Perry & Mary Elizabeth (Westerblow) Mattson Myers. Gen #3 Nels & Mary Ora (Myers) Nelson. Gen #4 Carl Raymond & S. Marie (Cooley) Nelson Snyder. Gen #5 Mike Russell SR & Carolyn Louise (Nelson) Russell Gen #6 (ME, Siblings & Cousins) Jamie Dawn (Nelson-Russell) Paul. Gen #7 My Children, Siblings & Cousins Children. Gen #8 Some of my cousins have grandkids... SO we are now up to EIGHT Generations & growing strong! |
(Be sure to check out my family photo website. It's a work in progress but has family history and photos from 1800's family members to recent Family reunions.) I have quite a bit of family history, newspaper clippings, obituaries and photos of family & friends that I'll be sharing there as well.
I came from a long line of very interseting family who left their mark all over history! Because of this, I'm a huge history buff & very much into genealogy. We live in a very historic area & I don't feel there are enough info websites that even come close to describing the history here in the New Boston ~ Western Mercer County area! It's one of my goals to do what I can to help share what ever history I can.....
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE FIND-A-GRAVE! I enjoy connecting lost family links as I research family history then creating Biographies for past generations & speaking for those who no longer have a voice of their own & to ensure their life stories are preserved for generations to come. I've REALLY enjoyed finding this site!
PS - I don't check my genealogy.nut2 email very often so if you need to contact me you can either leave a message here or send an email to my personal email jamiedawn_65 @yahoo.com THANKS & HAPPY HUNTING!

May I ask where you got his birthdate of 12 Jan 1747?
I have a Josiah Bundy married to a Mary Symons
and trying to decipher which Josiah Bundy is who.

Are you serious, JDP...your daughter is married to a Willits and your niece is marrying a Willet? That's just too freaky!!! If anyone were to suggest to either family that they may be related, they may or may not believe you. Someone needs to research it, however. JDP, I have evidence in my tree that shows a particular Willit family using that spelling in their earlier history and then changing to Willits later in life. The same could be true with many more of them. Val.

Thanks for your response and making the changes. I've been trying to find the e-mail I sent you, but I'm not having any success. I must have sent it to you on Findagrave.
Could you send me the Memorial # for William Drury? (If not too much trouble.) There are so many of them!
By the way, are you related to the Drurys? It looks like you've been doing a lot of research on them. I have too. I wish I could find where Edward Drury, (d. Pennsylvania, about 1763) who married Sarah Maugridge in 1742, was born. Edward Drury was my 5th G-grandfather.

JDP, welcome to the family...to both you and your daughter! I should warn you, however, there are a few nuts in the tree but I'm not one of them. Have you confirmed whether or not your new son-in-law's family is connected to our Willits clan? It could be that all of them are connected, regardless of whether they spell it Willit, Willitt, Willits, Willitts, Willet or Willett. All of these different names comprise the biggest challenges and most elusive mysteries in my tree. I have several unconnected shadow trees in my collection whose members I haven't yet connected to my confirmed Willits family members. Val.
Thank you for the update and for all your work here at Find a Grave, it is truly a lasting gift to so many people.
|Rnielson14||James Turner (Eliza Creek IL Cemetery 1810-1880)|
I noticed you created the profile for James Turner:
You said that this James Turner was buried with Sarah Turner. Do you know if this is for sure? Do you know that this Sarah Turner: (http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=136365979) Was married to the same James Turner that Catherine Fisher Boyd Smith Turner (http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=129911410) Was married to?
I'm really looking for information about this, so whatever you can tell me would be helpful! Thanks!
