History is so interesting, and if you add your own family to the mix, you may become addicted :)They really should teach our children about genealogy in high schools.|
I have learned that I descend from a great stock of people, who each passed on part of themselves to me.
The hardest memorial that I have had to place, was my dad's. I never knew that it would hurt so much. He will always be my biggest supporter.
Sometime's when I am looking for obits for my own family, I run across several others on the same pages. I add them to a memorial in the hopes that one day someone is looking for the person and bring them "home".

|Dorothy Dillen||The info on Dillen|
I was searching on here for my family & came across my great-grandfathers page, John Ellwood Dillen. I think some of the info may be wrong. You have his death date as 1906, but my grandfather was born in 1908. Also the John Dillen you have listed as his son is wrong. My grandpa was John E Dillen who died in 1998. If I come across anything else I will let you know.

I was able to obtain the photo of Josephus Ivey that was taken by my brother. His grave is located near the gate of the cemetery. Unfortunately, the cemetery is located on private property on old Hwy 45 north of Quitman and is buried under heavy overgrowth. Many of the graves are broken and in bad condition. Don't know what happened there. Don't think the owners (Moore Family) want anyone to go in it which is why my brother has no further plans to clean it up. Until someone does, I don't think any other photos will be possible. Caretaker
|samuel barefield||barefield family history|
My name is Sam barefield, and I have been doing some research on my family. It seems that you have quite a bit of interesting info. I have been doing most of my research on ancestry.com and I have left u a message or two on that site. I am not sure as to how often you actually log into it but I haven't heard from you... which is okay of course. Anyway, you seem to keep popping up when I try to search for information concerning Barefield history. It would be great if you would contact me somehow ... thank-you so much and hopefully you wont mind sharing some info. Thank-you.

Hello Crickett..my brother was in the Moore Cemetery today trying to clear away the excessive debris that covers this cemetery. He cleared a way to the gate and found the above mentioned grave and two others which he took a photo of. As soon as he gets it to me, I'll put it on Find A Grave. This is an old cemetery and no one takes care of it as it is totally concealed by trees, bushes, etc. He found it by accident. I was not aware of your photo requests until a few moments ago. My brother just called to tell me about the three graves he had located. Josephus Ivey was one of them. Thanks, Caretaker

I have added a photo to Edward Payton grave. please let me know if this is a wrong marker. the Headstone is too far in the ground to see birth and death dates.

Hi, based on the location B-201 1/2, I am fairly sure that the stone for your photo requests of Myers is toppled over. It is too big to lift. I am uploading a picture of the toppled stone. Sorry I can't do more.
|spanielfam||Blair Memorial Park Photo requests|
If you would like pictures of these grave stones, may I suggest calling Blair Memorial Park and get the locations. This cemetery is huge and their office will not look up grave locations for volunteer photographers. The number is Phone: 814-742-8131
|Storres Myers||RE: Just a HUGE Thank You|
You're welcome and thanks for the compliment. If we look closely at the Moyers we might find that our family lines touched at one time in Snyder County.--Storres
