RE: Adolph Carter
My Carter's originated in Haywood/Buncombe counties in NC but some moved to Pickens & Greenville, SC as well as, Fannin county, Ga and Polk county, Tn. Some are even in Texas and Oklahoma. Mattie Bell Carter Carter and her children were originally from Ga and moved to Greenville and Pickens, SC. My Great Grandmother and her children also lived in Greenville, SC in 1920-Mary Jane Evans Carter-neighbors to Mattie Bell Carter Carter and her children.

Adolphus Jasper Carter, Sr
Would you happen to know Adolphus parent's names? I am a Carter too and have an Adolph in my tree who's father was John H Carter. Is this the same person?

Wrong Person
Pam,

I think you have the wrong person. Jeffrey was my cousin and he was killed in an auto accident in Bloomingdale, Georgia and then transported to a hospital in Savannah. I'm sorry for your grieving for the person you intended.

July 4
I spoke with my accross the street neighbor this morning. She remembers them well as she was a nurse @ Walterboro Hospital that day. She recalls that when they were brought to the W/H all the Drs. and nurses cried and part of the staff had to go home to get their thoughts collected (she was one of them.)
I was right about the location, when I get the flowers for my church today, I will buy extra flowers to place there. I do not know why this has touched me so, I am sory sorry for your loss, and the entire family has my heartfelt sympathies.

Hadnot Family
Would like more information about this family, found it about a year ago. They have been in my thoughts since. I live in Walterboro (only 5 years). However each time I pass where I think the accident happened I think of them. Today, July 3 I was surfing in hopes their page would come up....It did after a few minutes of looking. WOOO... What are the odds?? Would like to place flowers (were I think). Would like more information about the accident. I can not believe the dog died too, this is horrible and I can not grasp the grief the family felt.
