I have been researching my family history for 30+ years now. I started out trying to confirm family history stories for my grandchildren. Now I have an insatiable curiosity for family history. I love the feeling I get helping others find information on their families.|
When I was little my mom passed from breast cancer & I was told that "no one really dies as long as there is a single person that remembers them." Well I am putting skin on those bone so my grandchildren will remember all those that they never had a chance to meet personally.
I welcome any corrections to the memorials I place on Find A Grave but please use the edit link, not as a public message as those will be deleted.
Please, if you place memorials on Find A Grave make sure you check to see if there is not already one created for that person. I triple check all the memorials I list on Find A Grave before I add them to a cemetery, please don't ask me to delete mine because you did sloppy work, or wanted one of your own. The only way I will remove mine is if yours was posted date is before mine!
If you take a photo of a memorial, please make sure the dates are clear. If they are not clear, Please, retake it, do a rubbing or buy yourself a photo program and learn how to use it.
Lastly, I DO NOT transfer my family members to anyone else, but will be more than happy to honor transfer request for non-family members. Please state your relationship to the person you'd like transferred.

|Anonymous||Thank-you for your Kindness|
Thank-you more than words can say for the dignity & sensitivity in photographing the final resting place of Effie Catherine Clouse Bentley - #125315384 who had no marker.
I didn't know before that there was no marker where her earthly remains are buried, but I do know that she lives on as a goodness in her many descendants now & for generations to come. That we bring goodness into this world is truly a measure of our greatness, not the size of our marker. So maybe this is fitting because she was a humble & good person - she has a humble & simple grave.
Thank-you also for the beautiful & thoughtful message on her memorial and you did it all just hours after my request for a photo.
Thank-you with all of our hearts,
Ava & the Bentley family

You can ignore those last messages (or better yet, delete them), I just saw the email saying you transferred his memorial back to me.
|Robert M. Crossman||RE: Horton|
I will get that info to you.

I also thank you for adding cemetery photograph to the memorial for my first husband. Sorry, hadn't checked his memorial yet to see if anything had been added before I thanked you for Gilbert.
You're thorough. (smile)

Thank you for adding a picture of the Sacramento Valley Veterans Memorial Cemetery to my husband's memorial. You have a great kindness in you that does not go unnoticed.
Blessings to you and yours. Trust you and your family will have a wonderful Christmas season together with a fruitful New Year ahead.
Thank you for adding the picture of the cemetery site.

Carolina Memorial Park has stopped helping those of us that try to take pictures of headstones. We used to be able to give them the name of the person and they would show us on a map which section and plot the person was buried in. It is an extremely large cemetery and this was very necessary. Now they will not tell us anything unless we can prove we are family. I was told that you will have to go on their website at www.carolinamemorial.com and contact them directly or you can write to them at:
7113 Rivers Ave.
North Charleston, South Carolina 29406
You can also phone them at: (843) 797-2222
If you can find out the section and plot number (or the mausoleum and crypt number) I can find it easily but if you can only find out the name of the section or mausoleum they are buried in I will be happy to go back and try to find their headstone for you but it is impossible without at least knowing that. You can contact me at email@example.com
