If you are MORE closely related to any of our relatives that I have memorialized, PLEASE let me know, so I can transfer the memorial to you. These memorials are only in my temporary care until you claim them. I hereby give up any claim to copyright that I may have to anything posted to memorials I have made. You don't need to give me credit if you use it. This information should be in the public domain anyway. If you see something in these memorials that you feel you own a copyright to and are unwilling to share, let me know and if your claim is legitimate, I will remove it. I AM NOT A NUMBERS PERSON (can not abide them), (I have no problem with transfers if you are more closely related), so don't hesitate to ask. If you are related to my Sanders line, Please contact me. Ancestry has closed down our family site, but I would still like to hear from you.

You are very welcome. His bio touched our hearts.

|Brian Sanders||RE: C.C. Sanders|
I've been doing a little family tree research on ancestry.com I can only get two of the John Sanders and I'm not sure if that is in the family but I've got a lot of information on all of the wives families.
|Brian Sanders||I'm a living decedent of Christopher Columbus Sanders|
My name is Brian Charles Sanders, as you can see from my profile picture, I greatly favor C.C. Sanders in the looks department.
|Alana Morgan||RE: John Word Hooper|
Hello Cousin Charles,
I am descended from Obediah Hooper Sr and Massilva Brooks, they were my 5th great grandparents. I am descended through their son James who was in the Revolution. My Hooper line is long and complicated. I am also descended from Charles Word Jr. His widow my 4th great grandmother Elizabeth Adams Word Hooper of course married James' brother Richard Brooks Hooper. (making her my 4th grand Aunt as well as grandmother). James' daughter Amelia married Elizabeth and Charles' son Joshua and they are my 3rd great grandparents. So, I double back on myself. There were several more Word and Hooper marriages that complicate it even further.
As a USAF veteran, I am proud to know that I am descended from these and 5 other greats that made our country possible.
It is also good to 'meet' a new cousin.

Thanks for updating the bio and for the kind offer of transferring memorials. It is not necessary. I am related to all of your Hooper memorials but I think that they are in good hands with your care.
Out of curiosity, are you related to any of your Hooper memorials? IF so, then we are probably cousins of some sort.

He is my seventh GGF on my mom's side.
|Brenda Brubeck||Sanders Family|
Thomas Callaway and Flora Malissa Sanders Chandler are my great-grandparents. Their son, Henry James Chandler, Sr. (1879-1971) is my father's father. My grandfather and father, William Timothy Chandler, Sr( 1922-1996), died in Jacksonville, Florida, where I was born in 1948. Thank you for all the information, Cousin.
Brenda Chandler Brubeck, former of Jacksonville, FL now Fernandina Beach on Amelia Island, Florida.
|Lana Pettey||Holloway Name|
OK to be fair, your message to Betty was posted merely 5 years ago. You wrote
"One point of interest, is the middle name Holloway, do you know how that name came into the family? I will tell you why I am interested if you contact me." (meaning Wm Holloway Pettey)
Now it seems like maybe you are asking, rather than offering to tell where the name Holloway came from. I always assumed that it came from Holloway Lee Power who left a diary of the wagon train trip from Alabama to Texas.
Hope I got it right this time.

Benjamin Franklin and Lively Ann Sanders are buried at Bruton Family Cemetery south of Troy NC on Pekin Road. I visited the cemetery and took the pictures on 12 March 2012 and posted them later. Yes we are related; his sister Nancy Saunders married my distant cousin, Dave Yarbrough. Nancy is also buried at Bruton Cemetery.
Someone else entered Benjamin's name as Nancy's brother but listed him as buried at Kellis Family Cemetery. Their headstone and graves are in fact at Bruton Cemetery. My apologies to you or anyone else who has a question about this memorial.
