I am a native Oklahoman and my family settled in Oklahoma before the land rush. I have lived in many other states over the years, but Oklahoma always had (and will always have) a special place in my heart. It just keeps getting better. |
Please use the "Suggest A Correction" feature on the appropriate memorial to submit information regarding any requests. I follow the Find-A-Grave guidelines regarding the transfer of memorials. Any transfer requests should be for direct relatives within four generations, only. This would be siblings, parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. If you request a transfer of a memorial, please explain how you are related. Sometimes I am slow in responding, but I thank you for your patience.

Thank you so much for adding the bio to Robert's memorial. I have requested your memorial be added to the random walk, and I appreciate your help.

Thank you SO much for finding my great grandfather's grave. My mother had told me the story of how he drifted out to Oklahoma from Wisconsin and died there. She wasn't born until 2 years after his death in 1932. My great-grandfather had been born in Europe (now I know the year-1860), and immigrated to Wisconsin with his wife and my grandfather, who was also named Josef and was their only child. My mother told me that when my grandfather received word of his dad's death in Oklahoma, he opted to leave him out there, as the Depression was on and he didn't have the money to have the body shipped back to Wisconsin. Once again, THANK YOU for helping me uncover this link to my family's past.

Glad to help. Truman was my husband's uncle. Even though my husband has passed away, being an avid genealogist I am still working to preserve the records anywhere I can.

I can not thank you enough for uploading this picture. We have been searching for my great-grandmother's headstone for a long time. No one knew where she was. This is amazing to be able to see it.
