Hi again Sherry - my 6 ggf was Moses Wray b abt 1730 Buckingham Co., VA, died 1802 Cumberland County, NC. His son Ezekiel Rhea came to Tennessee and died there abt 1811. Just wondered if these names are in your tree? Pat

RE: Scott Fitzgerald
You're so welcome. I will have to go and study up on my Rheas/Wrays and see if we can make a connection. The longer I do this the smaller the world gets! Thanks, Pat

Wray history
Hi, Sherry,

Creed T. Wray was my 4th great-grand father. I've really enjoyed the items you have put on Find A Grave. I hope you don't mind when I save the information. I always give you credit. You mentioned that Charles Wray was the family historian, and you had the pleasure to meet him. Is there any information you could share that you learned from him. I reach a dead end with Creed and would much appreciate some help.

Again, thanks for all you have posted,

Debbie Meyer

Thanks, Sherrie --

I agree, the death certificate SHOULD be most accurate. That is what I am going to use.

Just thought you might want to notate.

What a blessing you are to us Genie Nerds!

Amanda Victoria Parsons Henry Smith

I am researching Parsons family for client; ghost writing his family history book.

I just obtained online data from TN Death & Burial Index for this individual listing her parents as William (Bill) Parsons and Nancy Jane Morrow.

According to the death record she was born 17 Sep 1869.

Is there some way to determine which is correct; the gravestone or the record?

If so, please contact me at
TnWriterSarahB@aol.com

Thanks!

Curtis Cemetery
What findagrave is doing, though, when someone has become inactive or is deceased and no one in their family wants to take over the memorials, findagrave posts a note on the memorial page that this contributor is either deceased or inactive with a message as to who to contact for changes. I have also seen where an entire cemetery was posted by primarily one person who is no longer active, findagrave has turned those memorials over to an individual who is interested in doing the maintenance for those memorials. Each case is handled separately.

And, of course, I have had contributors who refuse to make any changes or family transfers or even acknowledge that they received a request. When I get those and have requested at least 3 times, I just email findagrave admin and let them handle it. They are generally pretty quick to do so.
