RE: thomas coombs
You're welcome! They were on the opposite side of the Scull family headstone (away from the road). If you are related to the Scull's and want a transfer, just let me know. Otherwise, enjoy the photos!

Slater's in Crystal Lake Cemetery, CT

I wanted to let you know that I have sent family link information to the memorial's creator page. Also, I have sent information for Lora Slater's maiden name (Aborn), and the spelling of Fanney's name from the gravestone.

I saw the statue for Minnie Slater. I didn't take a picture of that as I thought it was part of a different family. I'll try to take a shot of it when I next get over there.

RE: Howard G Poore
RE: Howard G Poore
i'm actually not sure where my line starts at! Howard G.Poore who married ethel lee was an uncle of mine. His brother Harry is my great great grandfather. Their father was Enoch poore born 1850s i think (census records vary age by 10 years in the ones i have) who married a mary walls. Other than that,i cannot get it any further back than that. There arent any birth records or marriage records for them, though i am thinking jacob poore may have been a cousin or something. if i did my search right,i think thomas poore who was born in 1831 was married to an elizabeth had a son enoch poore who had the correct year of birth of my gggg grandfather.

Not sure but pretty sure most Poor's or Poore's in the Delmarva region, just like most Shahan's of the region are related. I know every Shahan of the region I'm related to its kind of funny when a Shahan there asks me if we are here is why. Shahan is not a real name its an Americanization of the branch of Cornelius Shehane, thus all Shahan's are descendents of Cornelius Shahan, Darby Shehane's became Shawhan's, another branch Shawn's etc. Poor's and Poore's were big land owners in that region

Howard G Poore
i was wondering how you were related to howard g.poore

Hi sorry taking a while to get back to you. I connect to Poore/Poor lineage in three ways through my "Shahan" line. First Mary Jane Poor born 1828 @ Duck Creek Hundred, Kent, Delaware. She married James H Shahan on 26 Feb 1849 James died on or about Nov 7, 1861. They had six chidren 5 girls and a boy. After his death she moved back with her father and I lost track of her.

Next Sarah A Poor born 1836 died 1908 she married Jacob Shahan Nov 4 1873 they had 8 children.

Lastly William H Poore married Mary Shahan on 2 Feb 1887 they had 2 girls and 4 boys. Boys were Stephen, Martin, John and Clarence. Thinking maybe this your line. Only reason I chased the lines was their relation to "Shahan's" given the farm country many times families built closer relations to farms around them apparently Jacob Shahan and Thomas Poor were close.
