RE: Samuel C. Eikenberry
Hi Barb,

Yes, you are right. I sent messages to the Newtons to try to get the parents linked. I had tried to contact them reference other memorials as well and never got a response. I felt I would just create a new memorial. Possibly not the best action but the easiest.

Mary Ann Jane Young Robertson
Thank you for your answer, Barb. No, I don't think that she is buried in Stringer Cemetery. I wonder if it's possible she is buried in Jennings Co, IN as so many of the children were born there. I really don't know. I'll check the 1850 census, but it should show her husband in Howard Co, IN. Thank you for your kind reply and all the great work. Jenifer Jones

Mary Ann Jane Young Robertson
Hello, do you know where Mary Ann Jane Young Robertson is buried in Ripley Co, Ind? She was the first wife of Daniel Haynes Robertson # 94985842. She is my 3 great aunt through Daniel's brother Thomas Holmes Robertson, my 3rd great grandfather. I have found on her children's memorials that she was b 06 Aug 1825 Ripley Co & wed 28 Dec 1834 (was she really just 14?) & died after giving birth to her 8th child, d 28 June 1854 in Ripley Co, Ind. Is all of this correct? Please let me know if I have any misinformation & if you know even what township she may have lived in when she died. I really thank you for all of the great work you have done on behalf of families & genealogy. Jenifer Jones

It is confusing. All I can say is that the photo I took was at Day cemetery up Rock Creek in Erwin. Over the years I have came across markers in cemeteries where the person decided to be buried somewhere else and never had that marker removed, which could of been the case here. Two other possibilities maybe just a simple misprint in the book or that the name of the cemetery has changed so many times that info got scrambled over the years.

You can find Mae in Mitchell County "Find A Grave Memorial# 121938129"

I hope this helps.

I read the comment you left on the note and flowers for her grave. I also seen that the Unicoi Cemeteries book has her listed as being buried somewhere else. I can only say that I did indeed take her headstone pick at Day Cemetery. I will make a note on her memorial of the discrepancy.
