I was born and raised in Bedford Co. I have been researching my family for the past 10 years. I married Jay Lloyd Clapper from Morrison's Cove. My mother was Anna Belle Deremer and my father is Raymond James Nave. Other surnames that I am researching are Cessna, O'Neal, Sollenberger, Teeter, Amick, Campbell.|
I started my research in 1999 and I now have over 70,000 names from Bedford County in it.
My stonewall is my great-great-great-grandfather Christian Nave. I have not been able to find out much about him. I think he may have come from Morrison's Cove. Last source I have is the 1823 tax list for Cumberland Vally. I have been trying to find his burial location for the past 10 years with no success. His wife was Barbara Miller. Her burial location along with her son Nicholas is also a mystery.

Your guess is as good as mine. The records came from historical records. Not from my visits there. I reside in Illinois. Sorry I cant help!
|Rod Burket||RE: Fishertown Lutheran Cemetery|
I do not "manage" the Fishertown Lutheran Cemetery, I've only submitted names for it for memorials. You would need to write to the administrators for Findagrave.com to have your suggestion added for location.
Mrs. Clapper, In your email to me stating: "THIS IS A DUBLICATE. IT NEEDS TO BE DELETED" this wasn"t even one of your ENTRY [I CALL IT A MEMORIAL] THIS IS NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS...... Let F.A.G. take care of it. I don't EMAIL you when you have a MEMORIAL in the wrong cemetery. Please don't EMAIL me again !!!!! CONTACT F.A.G......... [Gee, I didn't know I was capable of writing a nice note] Bud Evans

Thank you for the links.
Thank you for your work to save "Lost" cemeteries. We enjoyed the article in the Morrisons Cove Herald. We need to find someone to care for the Burket Cemetery on Piper Road in Hopewell Township, Bedford Co. We found about 16 stones there this spring. It hasn't been cared for in 3 years the neighbor said.
Thank you for all you are doing.

Listing says Jan. 2, 1958 but stone says Jan. 12, 1958. Curious if mistyped or another reason.

Thank you for linking Jacob Wertz to his mother, Catherine Stiffler Wertz.
This is a second request. Hezekiah Barkman listed in this memorial did not die in 1903. I have attached the obituary for the Hezekiah Barkman who died in 1903. He has different parents, birthdate, and relatives. Please remove the death date on this Hezekiah Barkman to prevent confusion. When done, please let me know so that I can try to remove the obituary.

Hi Harriet-My g-g-grandfather was Jacob Allison, he is buried in Beaufort National Cemetery, Beaufort, SC.(# 2946932) I noticed you maintain the site. I was wondering if you would transfer the grave site to me. My mother was a Allison. Thank you, Jerry L. Johnston
