I became interested in Family History before my father passed away in 2001 because he was looking for his family, specifically information on his grandfather and we were able to share this wonderful search together. After he died I wanted to keep looking for him and see if I can find where his grandfather came from. Maybe I will find this "elusive old man" as Daddy's sister calls him.
I have been able to find so many people in his family - just not where Grandpa Nick comes from or any of his family - not yet! I'll keep searching!

RE: Bryon Berge
I saw on the gravestone and on the cemetery computer records that they have Bryon as Byron. Don't know if those were errors but it's something to be aware of in your searches too. It's hard if the widow remarried and usually I think if they aren't buried with their husband that's what happened--they remarried and are buried with their second husband. I'm glad I was able to help. The cemetery sections and rows are not marked so my husband and I went to the sexton and he looked them up on the computer. The plot numbers did not match since the highest number of their B plots was 44. We went to B44 and saw the gravestone there. On the computer it shows as B44 and B45.
