Hi, I live in Montford's Cove, Rutherford County, NC--an area rich in history. I have always been a history buff and an interest in genealogy comes naturally. I am not interested in copying entire cemeteries. I only wish to be of benefit to others seeking information on people I know and show honor to those who are family, friends, and neighbors. Of course, in my neighborhood, that is everyone for two hundred years back! 99.9% of those I have listed are in my family tree. I love to see entries that show all the family links and some personal insight. I am rather busy being an active mother, wife, daughter, and full-time employee, so my time is limited in inputting the very things I love to see. (Of course, if one is interested in genealogy, one must love and spend time with one's family!) I am getting around to them, but slowly. If you have a request for information either to be input, or that you need to know, just email me and I will move it to the top of the to-do list! Please send me a correction if I have something wrong--many of the older ancestors have conflicting information, and I really want the info to be as right as possible. I have been fortunate to be able to find and communicate with new cousins through Find-a-Grave. I learn so much from others! If you think you are one, please send a "hello!" I would love you meet you, too.

Hi Donna, Thank you so much for doing for others in such a great way through Find A Grave. I used to visit a lot of the NC cemeteries with a cousin. We had "kin" spread all around. Now I am just thankful that there are people like you willing to help us so that we can see the graves of our "kin". I started my genealogy journey in the 1980's so needless to say that now because of age and health I am unable to visit cemeteries. I am however still working hard trying to get as much family history as I can on Ancestry and Family Tree Maker so that my descendants and others connected can see their heritage. You are indeed a person after my own heart. You want your records to be correct. That is what I spend a lot of time doing now, trying to verify what I have. I hope it is okay with you for me to copy your photos for my family files. God bless you in all your efforts to help others through Find A Grave.

RE: Pearl Parker Fowler
Good morning Donna,
Thank you for your most recent reply about Mrs. Fowler. Since you manage her memorial, you are able to utilize whatever means you desire for her memorial. I just hate to see a recent memorial without an obituary, cause that can be a real source for a quarrel, if that person does not have a grave marker photo. Up here in the mountains, we have lot of contributors that place memorials in any cemetery they like, due to the fact that they do not know where that person was buried. Obituaries usually answer that question and keep things in better order. I used to refrain from posting the funeral home photos myself, but after working with many different funeral directors first hand, I have never had one complain about using their service information or their photos, which I try to credit the source for, but sometimes I get rushed and don't add a citation. I have so many memorials without images, and the photos bring the deceased into the realm of our minds, by putting a face to a name. If anyone ever issues a concern to me about an obit or a photo, I will surely remove it.
As for the links to the children, I have added those as a hyperlink in the Bio before, when I know the contributor to be a pain in the rear, however, I don't do that a lot.
I am happy to hear that your father knew Ethel Fowler; her smile tells me that she must have been a very sweet lady. I noticed you have three Lovelace's in your holdings. Would you consider a transfer for them? If not, I will not hold any ill feelings. Blessings to you!

James Herbert Hemphill, Buncombe Cty., NC
James Herbert Hemphill, of Marion, NC, is my Great-Great Grandfather. Appreciate all of your hard work! Hoping to find Photos (He was a Confederate Soldier), and tie up loose strings. About 6 yrs ago, I spoke with 2 of his grandchildren, living still, in what was once Nebo, NC. I hope their still living, and I'd like to present them with new info, possibly a family reunion...I recall them mentioning an Uncle Fred, who, may have moved to Fl., and became a doctor(?)

Jane Searcy, Middlefork Cemetery, Gerton,NC
I live near Gerton and see that you have photographed the Middle Fork Cemetery in the past. There is a photo request for Jane Searcy but the stats say the cemetery is 91% photographed. I am not really sure where the cemetery is located and wonder if I should attempt to add the Jane Searcy headstone. Thanks in advance for any input you might have.

Good Morning,
I was hoping you could read the dates on the photo you posted for him, as I believe this to be his fahter... and the other, for Melinda, his wife.... but I actually think they are posted to the next generation.
This is the # I think it belongs with..... I have written Ashley, and for a marker, added the photo I believe is for Andrew Jesse.
Thanks for all your work & efforts....

Guy Lattimore Wilkinson II
I located another stone at Oakwood in Hickory for a Guy Lattimore Wilkinson II. He appears too young to be the son of Guy Lattimore Wilkinson. Could he be a grandson?

Hello Donna,

I noticed you have a posting for my ancestor George Ledbetter and his wife Elizabeth Walton buried at Bradley-Ledbetter Cemetery in Rutherford Co., NC. Is there a grave marker for George and Elizabeth, or a cemetery listing showing who is buried in that cemetery? I would love to have a picture of their markers if there is one.

Thank you for all your hard work, Billie (female)

Hi Donna, sorry to confuse you. You created a site for Joseph Wayne and Lydia Holcombe. #34697002. It listed a daughter named Elizabeth. As a niece, I had never heard of the person. When I did a little digging I realized her middle name was Glenn and that is how we new her. She had one daughter, Janice, and I thought I saw somewhere that you were the daughter, so I was confused!
Thanks for getting back to me, Rose
