I have been doing genealogy research for over 36 years now. It started as a hobby that is now an addiction. Cemeteries are fasinating places to learn clues about ones ancestors and I have tried to find the graves of as many of my and my husband's ancestors and their families as I can. Preserving the memory of our loved ones and photographing the tombstones is a great way to preserve and share what time might destroy. All of my memorials are ancestors of mine or my husband.|
Under the EDIT key: You can Suggest a correction or provide additional information for any entry that I have made.
Feel free to use any of my photos but PLEASE state that it came from Find A Grave and give me credit for the photo. Thank you.

Barb, take a look at the Noyes Canfield record #41163625. Just this past year the Brandt family that currently owns the property, have erected a new fence around the burial site and Jim has buried his wife Linda up there. Findagrave just accepted a photo that Pete Nocks sent to me after the work was done. Not sure just how Pete & Linda were related, perhaps cousins. My cousin Donnie Meyer knows the Brandt family and when he took me up to the site last year it was Donnie's first trip to the burial site and he's lived there all his life! Jim wanted to know who he had to ask to get permission to bury up there and both Donnie and I said we were Canfield descendants and he most certainly had our permission to do it, although since he owns the land, don't think he had to have any permission, but it was nice to know that he considered it still a "Canfield" family cemetery.

The info you have on the memorial is even more complete than what is on stone. All that''s listed on bottom of their stone is John Charles 1883-1960. Alice Kathleen 1878-1952. And of course the big CLARK at top.

Hello, This is neat to hear we are connected. How are you/your husband related to Daisy Bye? She is my Great Grandmother.
Do you have any genealogy you could share about the Bye lineage? Daisy's husband was George and we are interested in information about his parents, etc. Thank you for any information you can share.

|Richard Sternberg||Caleb Merriman|
Hello from Iowa: My name is Richard Sternberg, and my grandmother was Helen Merriman of Wells, Minnesota. She married my grandpa, Frederick Safely. I am a direct descendent of Nathaniel, Caleb, Eiasaph, Titus, Joel, Titus, Henry and Helen. I have been involved much with Safley genealogy, but am now starting with the Merriman side. And suggestions on where and how to research would be greatly appreciated.

|Jeanne Meek||Polly Meek wife of Armstrong|
Am I reading correctly that you are related to Polly Meek? Armstrong is my husband's Gr Grandpa. We are searching for more info on his father, Isaac Meek. We believe he died in Fountain Co. IN or Danville, IL. Would love to hear from you.
I'm wondering if you recall what all of the different colored squares were on the grave site of Miles Merwin findAgrave memorial# 15019577? You posted a picture indicating it was taken April of 1981 (if that helps). I was just curious since it looks like it could be family members.
