Very interested in info on Schomberg family, also photos and info of Albert Galverton Presnall and his wife Mable E. Schomberg. Looking for info behind her family, especially. (other then what I have on my web site for her family). Any info appreciated.
I copied this from Forgetmenot but thought it appropriate:
"We will transfer any memorial, unless they are related & will gladly add obituaries or any other pertinent information. Please feel free to use our photographs for genealogical purposes."
Strangers in the Box
By Pamela A. Harazim
Come, look with me inside this drawer,
In this box I've often seen,
At the pictures, black and white,
Faces proud, still, serene.
I wish I knew the people,
These strangers in the box,
Their names and all their memories
Are lost among my socks.
I wonder what their lives were like.
How did they spend their days?
What about their special times?
I'll never know their ways.
If only someone had taken time
To tell who, what, where, when,
These faces of my heritage
Would come to life again.
Could this become the fate
Of the pictures we take today?
The faces and the memories
Someday to be tossed away?
Make time to save your pictures,
Seize the opportunity when it knocks,
Or someday you and yours could be
The strangers in the box.

HI, thank you so much. James died in the Civil War and as yet have not found where he is buried. He died of disease in VA. Maybe one day some one will post more records and I will find him.

Could you please tell me where the Vincennes City Cemetery is located here in Vincennes? I am new to the area and not sure where it is located. Thanks, Jana
|Rob Walker||Paul Wiley|
Thank you for searching for Paul Wiley at the Wiley Cemetery.
I appreciate all the time and effort that volunteers put into looking for lost relatives for strangers like myself.
I will note that a search was completed and no marker was found. Perhaps he is at a different cemetery and that can be located some day.
|Tess||Collins and Hall|
Thank you very much for taking the photos of the Collins in Brasher Cemetery and the Hall couple in Anna-Edna Cemetery. I really appreciate all the work you do.

|Althea Cole||FOUND IT!|
Thank you for finding the grave site of my grandmother's biological aunt.
Now if there were only a "Fix a Grave" website to spruce it up a little. My 87-year-old Grandma's an avid gardener and will certainly have a lot to say about the overgrowth on those tombstones! As it is, I have a feeling that she'll next be asking me to take her to Cedar County, Missouri with a trunkful of landscaping tools. And surely I would comply if it came to that--who would turn down such a request from their 87-year-old grandma?
Thanks so much!
