What a great site to keep the memories of our beloved family members and ancestors alive! A great research tool and connections to others who just may be related to you. |
I am researching on my husbands side: Neal, Neel, Morgan, Roland/Rowland, Rose, and Sias.
I am researching on my side: Werner, Veselovsky, Craig, Feeley, Carlucci, Poveromo, Paccione, Stragapede, Villari, and Hodack.
What saddens me is the amount of "hoarding" of memorials I continue to run across on FAG! I understand there are "guidelines" which have been set. However, a person should not be made to feel like they are getting teeth pulled to have a memorial transferred to them! Members know darn well, if a person they entered is related to them or not. Holding on to a memorial and hiding behind the guidelines to do so is outrageous.
The hard and tedious work put in to enter those memorials are greatly appreciated, but this site is to remember and honor those who have passed, not to have a tug of war and give astronomical amounts a proof on where the person falls on your tree.
Any photos I have posted may be used on other websites. Any memorial I have entered, which my husband or I are not related, I will be more than happy to transfer.

Wow....Thank you so much. So do you have a site that shows all of this or at least the names and birth dates of all her spouses? The photo of her was truly amazing, as I assume so was she.
Herbert Neal's parents Walter Neal and Isadore Shaver in the 1900 Census states that Isadore is the mother of 10 children, 7 living and it lists the names of the 7. So 3 children were born to her and died before 1900. Do you happen to have any information on these 3? Someone gave me 3 names, but they were born before Walter and Isadore married and they just really don't seem to fit.

Concerning: Herbert W. Neal b. 1897, d 1933 (son of Walter Neal and Isadore Shaver)
I have a marriage index with his spouse as Lerling C Arrington and the death certificate on Find a Grave lists his spouse as Lerland Arlinton. You have added on Find a Grave that his spouse is Cora Lurlina Richardson McCarley.
Is it possible that her maiden name was Cora Lurline Richardson? That she possibly married TJ Arrington (1930 census she was 38 yrs old and 2 sons ages 18 and 12) and that Arrington died soon after? and that she married Hubbard W Neal in 1932 (she gives her name as Lerling C Arrington) and he died a year later in 1933? and that she then married some one by the last name of McCarley?

I'm so happy to have found my Gr. Gr. Grandparents, Susan and John Brown, via the memorials you added in May in the Hillside Cemetery. Thanks so much for all the work you've put into adding memorials and helping people connect with their history.

Yes, Claire Foley is buried in the same grave with husband John Joseph Foley. It is my practice to photograph both sides of each headstone and to post the spouse's headstone to their own memorial. If you click on the spouse link on Mr. Foley's memorial you'll see the photo posted on Mrs. Foley's memorial. Best, Helen

|Carol ||RE: Nameless McCurdy child at Hillside Cemetery|
Hello Valerie: I am still searching LDS records for possible information about this child. I was able to substantiate Oscar D. McCurdy's birth on Dec. 21, 1842 in Dunbarton to Daniel and Betsy C. McCurdy. I am still searching for Oscar's death date. The couples othrr children are David A., John, Martha Jane, Daniel L., Elizabeth and Mary Ann (both of whom I have found in Salem), Matthew (who died in the Civil War in VA). Oscar was the youngest. Of course these are KNOWN children. I have no information on a Henry as yet. Still searching.

Talk of coincidenses....I have just been researching Daniel and Betsy (Alexander) McCurdy and I came across memorial # 164954798 (yours). I cant' make out the given name, and obviously you couldn't either. But I wonder if this could be their son Oscar D., who was born Dec. 21, 1842 and died Jan. 31, 1843? Having seen in in person, you may have an inkling if this name could be on the stone. Oscar's father Daniel McCurdy is buried in this cemetery ( #165226057).

Yay, Valerie, for finding the stones for Daniel and Sarah Sargent at the Hillside Cemetery in Goffstown. I am so glad you are getting these photos! Kudos to you for your excellent work!

This was sent to me, there are two Ida's one died in 1927 and one in 1947. Looks like a mess. I will see what I can do to fix it.
