I saw you left a message on Mrs. Bevill's memorial. Do you know if she was an artist? I have a pretty ocean watercolor painting that I can see that it was signed "Edith S. Bishop."
Thanks for your help!
|Rich P||Henry Brown|
Henry Brown was my 2nd Great Grandfather and I am trying to confirm the information that Silas Brown was Henry's father. Can you let me know where this info came from so I can confirm to my family tree?

|william courtwright||parents of Henry Brown|
Can you support that Silas & Eunice Bacon Brown are the parents of Henry Brown whose wife is Elizabeth Montross.
|Charles D. O||Is this the right Harriet Blakeney Evans|
Is this the same Harriet Blakeney Evans Clark who was the mother of my great great great grandmother Alice Victoria Clark (Mangum)? She married John Joseph Mangum and both are buried in Olive Branch Cemetery in Portsmouth, VA. Alice V. Mangum's obituary says she was a native of Page land, South Carolina, was the daughter of Mr. Charlie and Harriet Blakeney Clark, and has a sister, Mrs. Rufus Collins (Clark?), and a brother residing in Pageland, Lum Clark.
When I discovered a written piece of paper in my grandfather's study after he died, the following names were written: Grandmother Alice Victoria- Mamie Hearl, Minnie Clark, Maude Lee, Ola Mae, Lillian Viola, Jesse Chandler, Curtis Alexander, Mark-(these were her children). Then in the right hand corner it said: From Ireland-Mrs. Clark- Anna Blakeney, Alice, Effie, Lum, Frank. By these names is Pageland, SC. Then there are more names: Sally, Willie (Girl), John, Reese, and the words "1 move".
I don't know if I have found the correct Harriet Blakeney Evans or not because there is no listing for Alice Victoria Clark here. I see Benjamin Clark and, added recently, Jo Anna Clark Blakeney (maybe Anna?). When I click on her name I saw many names from my list: Reese, Effie, Sally, John...No one else on this side of my family is alive to guide me and my father remembers only so much. Help from you or anyone on this board would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the follow-up. I sort of figured that out myself after googling Goshen. I have visited the cemeterry also and have a few relatives there as well as Elm Grove, Bethany, Flat Rock, Glencoe, Sardis, and Hillsdale. I have taken quite a few photos of memorials there and posted them to Find A Grave.
My Bailey and Barham grandparents were locals. I spent a couple of summers on the Patrick Murphy Bailey (grandfather) farm on 158 about 3 miles west of 220.
Thank you for fixing this, I will take down my duplicate as well.. I have started to check both cemeteries now before making a memorial. I will send you corrections if I find others as well. Brad
