I'm not sure if we've ever communicated before. But I'm in DC finishing up some research at the National Archives. One of the projects for me is to try to determine Hezekiah's father. I've found the name Jonathan and a spouse named Elizabeth. But the info is from other personal family trees none of which have any supporting documentation. I keep the name there so that when I get a chance to do some of my own research, I'll have the "hints" available.
Do you have anything at all that could help determine Hezekiah's parents?
Here's my line from Hezekiah:
Hezekiah (1784? - 1852) > Green > Samuel > Erskin > Cecil Lee > Henry.

Sometimes officers were send back to their home states to recruit soldiers. He probably joined when they came through Tennessee.

There was a Thomas White buried right next to her. I don't remember about a child. That cemetery is about an hour away from my home. If I ever get back out that way, I will look for the child. Do you know the name? Can you request the Thomas White and the child through Find A Grave?

It was originally a cross but must have been broken. I also took some photos of some Packs at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery in Adair County, Ok.

ok, thanks, I did enter Salem Cemetery from a tombstone inscription book I own...compiled by Linda H Smith in 1993 called Tombstone Inscriptions of Limestone County, Alabama.
I am always glad to help.
If I haven't already, would you like for me to transfer these memorials to you? Or any others that you might want that I have entered. If I am not closely related I will be glad to do so...as far as I know I am NOT closely related to the Wise family.

Gwen, I have added so many memorials can you please tell me which Wise and/or what cemetery the memorial is entered? I would like to go and re-visit the memorial to know who you are referring to...thanks and you are welcome, glad I could help someone find a loved one..
I'm so sorry for the loss of your brother. Words cannot express the sympathy I feel for a mother who has lost a child. I pray God will lessen the hurt.
