Deborah Smith Purdy
The information below the photo of the gravestone for Deborah Smith Purdy says she died Jan. 29, 1804 but the "Find a Grave" info has her death date as 1814. I'm wondering which is correct. I believe it is the 1804 date based on her birth record of 1723 but wanted to double check. Thanks!

Charles Blakley
Blakley - IOOF Cemetery Norman
The caption spells the name Blakeley, and there are several such markers in the cemetery for that surname, however, the one with William Blakley, as spelled on the marker, is correct. His family came from Blount Co. AL. James A. Blakley was a younger brother of my John Blakley. Those in Blount Co. use the Blakely spelling.

Samuel and Margaret Sutherland
Samuel and Margaret Copple Sutherland are actually buried in Centerview Cemetery in Bourbon County, KS. It is the country, outside of Ft. Scott. I will post pics.

The date in Findagrave doesnt match the typed text in the picture associated with it. Which is correct? Im guessing it is the text that is typed beneath the picture.

Thanks.

RE: Samuel Southerland
Hi Lynette,
Did Samuel have a middle name, and did he have a spouse? I found a thread on ancestry about a Samuel H. Sutherlin and spouse of Elra O. Sutherlin.

RE: Sutherland
I am sorry I couldn't find him for you. The lady at cemetery records says he may not have been loged into their books and has no head stone to show where he is. I also checked wirh the county cemetery records and they have no listing for a Philip Sutherland.
