Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am always looking for genealogy and family history connected to the families of the Keesling Neighborhood, Mechanicsburg, and Fall Creek Township of Henry County, Indiana. My family was amongst the first to inhabit the area shortly after Indiana became a state.

Some of the surnames I research include: Keesling (Kisling/Kissling), Alspaugh (Allspaw), Judd, Judge (Richert), Pate, Munden, Collier, Chadwick, Elliot, Sheffer, Kingerry, Palmer, Manwaring, Bagby, Hermann, Schneider, Waldron, and Brown (Braun).

RE: Manwaring
Scott. Thanks. I could use the help. My husband's grandparents are Harry Manwaring (b IA 1876) and Bess Davis Manwaring (b IL 1892). His parents were Joseph and Alice Florence Manwaring. Joseph was born 6-26-1850 in IL, died 12-9-1920. The only think I know about Joseph's parents are that they were born in England. I am trying to track Mabel Lawrence McDonald Manwaring Fender (born 1880 KS). Harry Manwaring was married at least 3 times. Mabel is his 3rd wife. Not in our ancestry line, but trying to figure out Harry's timeline by tracking his wives.

Manwaring in Iowa/Illinois
Mr. Manwaring. I am researching my mother-in-law's family. I am wondering if you have any information on Manwarings in Davenport, Iowa, or Rock Island/Moline IL. Do you have any additional information on Mabel Manwaring. Trying to see if she connects to his family. THanks.

Thomas Jefferson Ginn, my G-Grandpa

During my searches a lady suggested that I reach you about the memorial for my grandpa. I don't know any thing about sponsoring one. I have been out to the cemetery but the stone was missing. I found g-grandma Elizabeth, though. Just so you know I am related: My dad was Kenneth Lee Ginn, his father was Vincent Lee, and his dad was Thomas.

I have documentation about where Thomas lived, entered the service, where they went, where he got captured, got scalded on the Sultana, and got home. I got the chance to join the Descendants of the Sultan and attended a meeting in Tennessee. Afterwards I went to the battlefields where he was captured. Then I drove down to where the Cahaba prison was. I didn't bother to go to Memphis, there is nothing of the Gayaso hospital left. If you have any info, I would love to see it. I wish someone had a tin type of him but I have had no luck finding a photo of him at any age. He was a Mason so I am going to contact them and see if I have any luck.

I would like to hear from you if you would be interested in corresponding.

Nicodemus, Alspaugh, Kessling
Hi Scott Manwaring

Hi this is Karen Huggy with hearing impaired. I hope you remember this name before. I was working past 5 years and stopped for 3 or 4 years and now I am back to work on my family history.

I have not organized things together. Very bad.

I lost your original email address. Here is my new email address.

I have planning travel back to Indiana for a week between before, on and after labor day

I knew you are my relate long lost cousin like maybe 4th cousin. the families I was from GG grandparent William R. Alexander and his wife Amanda E. Alspaugh to Valentine Nicodemus. I don't recall where Kissling or kessling from but there is somewhere how I contacted you previous years back.

I just shocked about Both Valentine Nicodemus and his wife Catherine Eckerd Nicodemus that they were not buried together. Valentine buried in Mechnancisburg and Catherine buried in Hoover's in Akron as Mount Hope Athens Cemetery. What happen?

I remember you were mention about Kessling family reunion in August? correct? I may miss it.

I would love to meet you and lead me to Mechanisburg cemetery.

do you have picture of Alspaugh, Nicodemus, Kessling? I would to pay you the copies stories about those family historial. such as deed, war solider and many more. I need your help.

I am the daughter of America Revolution - Henrich Alspach from Ohio. could me the name Alspaugh must be from Alspach? Correct? I see the other change name like Alspaw?

Do you have free time during the labor day weekend and after that? I plan travel to Rochester, Richland, Akron, fort Wayne,Culver, Leiter Ford , Mechanisburg, and more for a long week.

I look forward to hear you back. THank you
