Bio and Links
Bio Photo I was born in California, but now live in Colorado. My main family interests are Carver, Drake, Spurr, Jones, McKinley, Cummings, Kirkpatrick. State interests include Kentucky, Pennsylvania, Illinois, Missouri, Oklahoma, Iowa, Indiana, California, Ohio and Kansas.

I appreciate all the work that goes in to photographing these headstones, but please, follow the guidelines and don't use shaving cream or cleaners on stones. It's okay to dust the dirt off (dirt makes the inscription hard to see) or trim back overgrown grass. If in doubt, ask the caretaker or office of the cemetery what is allowed. Thank you, all you volunteers who make our searches so much easier and fulfilling.

So sorry about not returning your query.
I looked through all my notes on the computer and discovered that I may have developed a "bug", I can find no imformation relating to that branch of the Spurrs whatsoever! Since I can't find any of them, I can't support what I said, for which I am extremely sorry. Since I can't find my documents I will remove this message as I can't verify any of this particular line whatsoever. The comp will be going to the "doctor" immediately so that I can see what ELSE might be missing!

Diane,

Yes, you may use the photo. When my husband took me to this cemetery, the road was so small and crooked I told him when I got there I was going to take a picture of every headstone - because I was not coming back on that road again....LOL so that's what I did.

Have a great day.

Yes, feel free to use it. I hope to get back to the cemetery soon to document more of the people buried there.
I knew Bob and Esther, they were family friends, and we attended the same church when I was a little girl.

Hello Diane,

So sorry it took so long to upload the photos. I don't live in the immediate area so I try to plan my trips.

The reason I didn't post Mary's right away was because I thought the photo of her portrait wasn't very good, so I tried again. Henry's was good, so I figured I moved when I took the picture.

The photo in the headstone wasn't reproduced very well, so I can't do much about that. Probably better to look at it at a distance—the pixels are very large up close. Oh well they tried.

You can use my photos—and thank you for asking.

Take care,

Connie

You are most welcome to use my photo for your family tree. I no longer have a saved copy to send to you, but if you have difficulty copying from the memorial, let me know.
