|I've been doing genealogy since about 1995. All my ancestral lines who arrived in Alabama from the 1820's to 1840's are Cotton, Wilkes, Brooks, Wynn, Godwin, Lavender, Hagler, Thomas, Metcalf, DuBose, Baker, Roberson, Hutto, Salter, Horne and some I probably forgot.|
I photograph headstones in N. GA near Cherokee Co. and in SE AL when I can get there.

First, let me say it is good to know your name, I appreciate the transfers. I do not know how fast I will progress. I am so deep in Helms and Phillips. Dorcas Matilda Eldridge, my 2nd great grandmother, first married Robert Reliford Phillips. Then he married Elizabeth Shepperd. I have been searching for where I came up with Hagler. It was probably from word of mouth. A first cousin of mine, Marcus Strickland, married Vonnie Hagler. They are all from the Barbour Co. area, originally. Do not edit the name, until I can come up with proof.
Thank you, for the Denmon Helms info. There are several Thomas connections to the family. I will check on that with my cousin and let you know. Thank you, again

thanks............ If it was from Mr. Hayes, chances are that it is absolutely correct. I was curious since there was no tombstone picture, and we were trying to verify the accuracuracy for some documentation that needs to be submitted. Thanks.

Happy to help you!
|A Graves||Joe Sirah Garner; #29403868|
I found the entry for my gg grandfather, Joe Sirah Garner, who is buried at Evergreen near Ariton, Alabama and noticed a transcription error: his middle name is "Sirah", not Shirah.
Thank you for all of your work. You have done quite a bit.

I am not researching either family, but I have found a death record for the child for which I sent you the information. This child never been included in prior surveys of the cemetery by the name on the death record, but since the initials were the same this was the reason for my asking.
