RE: Collie Edwaard Sharp 2nd ???
Do you know if Ezekial was ever a minister or in a position to perform Baptisms? According to the family Bible, Commodore Perry Sharp was baptized by E Sharp. When I found Ezekial in Payne county--I became interested in finding a connection. This is the first E Sharp that I have found who might possibly be the one. Some times men were preachers on the side, worked hard during the week, and then preached on Sunday--my great grandfather on another side of my family did this, keeping a promise that he made that if he survived the Civil War, he would form a church--he did, in Arkansas, after he left Alabama after the war. My Great grandfather Commodore Perry Sharp homesteaded in Payne County in 1891---Genealogy is like a giant story--there is no end and such intersting stories. Thanks, Loneta Boyer

Collie Edwaard Sharp 2nd ???
Was his father Ezekiel Sharp? I have found in a family Bible that Commodore was Babtised at age 16 by E Sharp. So far I have been unable to find who that is--Commodore was an orphan by age 12 and I have been unable to find who raised him after that--maybe this is a clue--Thanks so much for the work that you do. Collie Andrew Sharp
Do you know who his parents are--(I looked as his photo and thought that he could be related to my grandfather,Cecil Sharp) I am researching Commodore Perry Sharp--he is buried in Fairlawn Cemetery also--and I am wondering if there is a family connection. Commodore homesteaded in Payne County in 1891 and lived there for the most part for the rest of his life--Thanks, Loneta Boyer

G Bush
I made an error in my request.
Caroline Edwards was my great great grandmother Thursa Edwards Sudduth's niece. I had it backwards. Sorry to confuse you.
