McCandless
My Grandmothers maiden name was McCandless, I wonder if they were of the same bloodline.

Sailor Jerry AKA Norman Collins
Hello,
To answer your question, your entry was actually a duplicate of mine from back in November of 2006. I had posted a bit about him with the administration way back then about if he was famous or not, sadly it turns out he's not famous enough to qualify.
I think there was a post in the forums about it. Anyway, anyone browsing can report a duplicate entry and usually the first one prevails unless it is a family member who has posted the dup.

If a person is deemed famous then whoever writes the best original biography according to the administration then gets credit.

Christopher Johnson McCandless
I watched the movie "Into the wild, which is the life story of Christopher Johnson McCandless, at the end, it tells that he was cremated, and the ashes are with his family.
