I first discovered FindAGrave when trying to research the paternal side of my family. I still have a major brick wall with that line, but get a great deal of satisfaction helping other people break through theirs.
I especially like to document older cemeteries, and also enjoy filling photo requests.
When I'm out filling photo requests, I'll post pages for others in the same area, or a marker that has touched me in some way. If it turns out that one of them is your family member, please let me know and I'll gladly fix any errors, transfer ownership, or delete it if you prefer. My purpose is only to show respect and make sure everyone is remembered.
I'm happy to share photos with family members for personal, non-commercial use, and will gladly send full resolution versions, as long as the photo was taken recently and still resides on my computer - LOL!

 | Scott Photos Don't worry about it. I would prefer to keep your photos on the site because they are so beautifully shot. What part of the country did you move to - I may have some ancestors near there? :) TriciaAdded by Patricia on May 05, 2013 10:23 AM | | | Patricia
 | Samuel Scott Photos Hello Fellow Find A Grave Traveler. You took 2 lovely shots of the headstone of my great grandfather, Samuel Scott. Find A Grave Memorial # 3750914. Do you still have the original sizes? If you don't mind, could you send me the original JPG sizes and also re-upload yours in the larger sizes? Find A Grave allows up to 3 MG now. I maintain his memorial. They are beautiful and I would like to use them for my family purposes, too. | Nelson Thanks for your help - I will check out the other cemetery. For now I have listed the memorial as location unknown and removed the photo request. I appreciate your help.

 | JAMES SLADE Hi there, svh77
I have just been sent a photo of the memorial plaque of James Slade 1915 - 1985. James Alfred Slade was my father, same dates. However, according to his death certificate he was cremated in the Chapel Of The Pines cemetary, Catalina. He was born in London, England. Do you have any more information on the picture you sent me? Are the 2 cemeteries near each other? His wife's name was Anna (prev Schultz). Any help would be gratefully appreciated. Many thanks. | | | Grant Hayter-Menzies
 | RE: Princess Der Ling Thank you! I just sent a photo, the only one I know of, showing Der Ling and her son, to the page for Thaddeus Raymond Jr. | | | Grant Hayter-Menzies
 | RE: Princess Der Ling Thank you! If you'd like to transfer them to me, I'll take good care of them. I am so grateful to you for posting these pictures. I scoured records on Oakland Cemetery and nobody could tell me whether the Whites were buried there or not. I feel like a circle has been closed!
All best - Grant | | | Grant Hayter-Menzies
 | Princess Der Ling Thank you for posting photos of the gravestones of Princess Der Ling, her husband and their son. I am Der Ling's biographer, and searched for years to find these graves (even the cemetery list didn't include them). I would add a few corrections to Der Ling's entry:
1. Her death certificate misspells her name: It was Elisabeth Antoinette White.
2. Her father was Lord Yu Keng (Yugeng), Imperial Chinese minister (ambassador) to Japan and France. Her mother, Louisa Pierson, was the daughter of a Boston merchant stationed in Shanghai and his Chinese wife
3. Der Ling was first lady in waiting to the Empress Dowager Cixi of China (1835-1908), about which experiences she wrote extensively in her eight books on China.
I have photos of Der Ling I am happy to share with you to use on her page, and one of her with her husband.
All best regards - Grant | | | Julie {Palmer} & Jerry Clark
