Ann K. King Tebow
Jan Tiebout to Richard Andrew Tebow
Hello Wayne! I am the widow of Richard Andrew Tebow 1921-2007. His line from Jan Tiebout is: Jan, Andries [brother to your Theunis], Pieter Tibout, Ryer, Peter Tebow, Uriah, Peter, George, George C., to Richard Andrew.

You are the first person I have found that goes as far back on the Tiebout line as you do. Would it be possible for me to get Theunis' descendants from you? I will certainly be glad to share all of Andries Tiebout's descendants with you. Sadly the George C. Tebow line carrying the Tebow name died with my 92 year old brother-in-law in 2011. GrandPa Tebow [George C.] had three sons and those sons only had daughters.

My niece in Illinois, Pat Tebow Williams has done a lot of the genealogy and I have done a lot of it. Like you I have been having this life changing experience for a long time. My grandmother started tellin' me family history stories when I was around five and she never stopped until she died. I was 31. When I was about 15 the two of us started actually making our own pedigree charts using the lined 5 1/2 by 7 inch pads that the little old ladies used for letter writing. I am now 69 and those charts are my most precious possession. I smile when I think of them, and down right glow inside when I hold them! I got really into the research when I was about 29. So we have both been doing genealogy for 40 years!

Thanks for taking your time to read and respond to this. Looking forward to hearing from you!

Ann

Grave Entry
Just wanted to let you know that we looked at the Vails Gate Cemetery in New Windsor,New York in its' entirety, and also have a copy of the record from the church of all known internments. We could not find any Charles Edgar Bartley which you have entered as being buried there. Are you certain of the cemetery?

Terry Lodge
Charles L. Apker's Descendants
Wayne:

Charles's mother was Lilly May Lodge. Her parents were Samuel R. Lodge and Anna C. Seifert. Samuel's parents were John Harris Lodge and Hannah T. Gual. Anna's parents were George Nicholas Seifert and Margretta E. Rush (they are are buried in Kingman County, KS). John Harris Lodge's parents were James Lodge and Charlotte Harris. They immigrated to the US in 1847. James died on board ship. Charlotte arrive on July 6, 1847, pregnant, with 7 other children. After arriving in New York, she resided in Philadelphia.

If you would like additional information I can be reached at tmlodge@hotmail.com. The Lodge Family Tree is a public tree.

Charles's two daughters, Sarah and Lori might interested in their grandmother Lilly Lodge Apker side of the family.

Laura G Apgar # 37597118
Hi Wayne,

Just noticed when I was linking the Apgar family members that the man you've listed on Laura's page as her father is incorrect.

Her father is William B. Apgar (#37597787)

There are a few other links for the family I'll offer through Edit.

I'm a lifelong resident of Hunterdon County too and am familiar with the Apgar name thought the County. Small World!

Thanks so much,

Barbara

Van Veghten Cemetery, Finderne, Somerset County NJ
I have a book "Colonial Families of NJ, Volume 3" by Pearson, 2007. Page 171 mentions that
Rynier Veghte, born 19 Feb 1754 , died 27 Feb 1833 , son of Hendrick Veghte and Pieternelletje Van Middleswaert, and 2nd wife Catharine (Caty) Van Wagenen born abt 1749 and died 15 May 1834 are buried in the Veghte Cemetery in Somerset County NJ. Rynier Veghte's 1st wife Catlintie (Catharine) Ten Eick is already listed as buried in the Davis Burying Ground.

Rynier Veghte served in the Revolutionary War as a Lieutenant and a Captain in the Second Battalion, Somerset County NJ

Would the Van Veghten Burial Ground you are in charge of be the same cemetery as the Veghte Cemetery ? It mentions that Rynier Veghte and his 2nd wife were buried on the Duke Estate in Somerset county NJ in the Veghte Burying Ground.
it quotes Somerset County Historical Quarterly as the source in the book.
(I saw your note saying if anyone knew of anyone else that was buried there to let you know, but i am not sure this is the same cemetery )

Mem No. 35780273 - Florence M. Wiegand, NOT Weigand
Please note that the tombstone for Florence under Memorial No. 35780273 reads WIEGAND, not WEIGAND. This stone is listed under WIEGAND for her parents, William Wiegand and Jennetta Apgar. Just wanted to make it easier to find. Lynne

Request to Use Photograph
Wayne, I am writing an article on 'The Unknown Dead in the Civil War', and I am including a section in my article on Groveton Cemetery. I found the very nice photograph you took of the UDC Monument in the Groveton Cemetery and would like to include it in my article. May I have your permission to do so? I will credit you in the photo caption: 'Photo courtesy of Wayne Apgar.'. Thanks very much, Donna

Jacob W. & Catherine Apgar
Hi, Wayne. I am an Apgar descendant as well and I appreciate you placing these memorials on Find-A-Grave. I have a question - Catherine's memorial says she is buried next to her husband, however Jacob W. Apgar's memorial says he is buried in a different cemetery. Which cemetery is this couple buried in? Kerr or Apgar Family cemetery? Thanks!
Judy
