Cecil Everett Barncord
Hello, Cecil was my uncle. My father, Lyle Rowe, and he were separated at the orphanage where they and their siblings were placed by Flavious (who died in the 70's or 80's) when Pearl died.
My father and his brother Cecil didn't know where each other were until they read of each others' joining the Navy.

I have a photo of Cecil (taken with my father) I will upload soon.

Hello Mr Brown
We were able to find a Velma and Bert J. Stramel she had the same dates and his dob was one year off. They were also in the Calvary Cemetery instead of the Claremont Cemetery in Stratton, let us know if you would like us to go ahead and post them as Bessie and John.

Cecil Barncord
Hi Dennis,
Are you related to Cecil Barncord? Did you write about his adoption? My Mother's Uncle Charles Barncord adopted him. I do believe that Flavious Rowe is his real birth Father, and his middle name is Everett not Elmer and he was born 1 Feb. 1917 and he grew up here in Topeka, Kansas.

RE: George Washington Brown
Dennis, I've been in the cemetery numerous times and took photo's of all the headstones that were readable. I know that there was a headstone as late as the WPA transcriptions in the late 1920's early 30's. Unfortunately if I didn't put a photo on the memorial for George W. Brown there isn't a headstone available. The cemetery is very small and I overturned everything I could. I know about the headstones leaning against a wall, but apparently it's not a Brown. If I get a chance I'll look again, but I sincerly doubt one still exists.

John

John Henry Harris
I seen that you had a note on the memorial of Margaret Brown Harris that he is suppose to be buried in the same cemetery but that he cannot be found there.
I may know the reason for that and I am currently working on finding out the answer.
John Henry Harris is my 2nd great grand uncle and I have been trying to track down his family for quite some time now and finally have a lead. I do not believe that he is buried in KY at all or IL where he was born. I believe he is buried on the east coast.

Should not her name be shown as Jennie Brown Harbison?

Romans
I believe the 2nd name on James L. Romans' stone is for his wife, Louisa E (not L F) Romans, who was living in Rush County, KS with her daughter, Anna Ryan, in 1920, on Federal Census, McCrackin City, Hampton Township. Per various years of census, she was born May of 1851. That fits with the date of birth on the stone.

Louisa E. Romans was also known as Estella Louisa.
