|Deborah Jane Kline||Hampton relations?|
Hello. I noticed your message on Helen Rineer's profile. May I please ask how you are related to the Hamptons? I am descended from Mary Jane Cahoon and Jonathan Hampton (II?) (abt 1820-1899), who moved back and forth between near Toronto, Canada and west-central Illinois. My Jonathan (II?) is the son of John Hampton (-1848) and Sarah Gilbert Hampton Foxall who moved from Canada to western Illinois near Nauvoo in 1846 to help the Mormons. John Hampton is the son of Jonathan Hampton Sr and Sarah Colburn who died in Canada (she was baptized into the Church of LDS by her son Jonathan Jr., who was baptized by Brigham Young). Are you related to any of these Hamptons? Do you have any more information on them? Thank you for your time and consideration.

The VORYS e-book I am working on has links to various web pages that include some photos. It may take me another month or two to finish this book...over 300 pages right now. ...Mike
My records show that Jonathan (1775-1812) and his wife Sarah Colborn (1777-1840) moved to Canada after they were married and their children were all born in Canada, but I don't have any documentation to this. Do you have any info on James Hampton (1740-1803)? I show his wife as Susannah Newman, there again, not sure. I have not been able to get any further then that.

I am in the process of completing a e-book regarding the descendants of Jan Thoe Van Vorhees/Vorys, born 1405 CE, Netherlands.
You and I are his 16th generational descendants. Your connection to his Van Voorhees/Vorys family is via your great grandmother, Clara Amelia (Vorys) Fitzpatrick.
If interested in corresponding with me, please email me at: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Sincerely, Dr. Frank "Mike" Davis, Cincinnati, OH

The information that I have is taht he was born in Lycoming, Pa. abt. 1740 and died in Lycoming, Pa. Aft. May 18, 1803. He married Susannah Newman abt.1770 in Muncy Township. Lycoming Pa. I have no information on either of their parents. Hope this is of some help.
Nephi was my great-granduncle. His brother Brigham Young Hampton was my great-grandfather.I have not been able to get any further back then James Hampton (1740-1803). Do you by any chance know who James' father was?
