I am a native Texan and love genealogy. I was born and grew up in Foard County, Texas. I never traveled much from my home town until I married; and now, my husband and I travel a lot. We live most of the time in South America and travel over the United States when we are home. I have just finished helping with compiling a book of information on World War I veterans who are buried in Foard. I have also compiled clippings, notes and information on Civil War Veterans who lived at any time in Foard County, Texas. I have a passion for preserving history as recorded in the cemeteries, many of which have been neglected and vandalized. I also love receiving and sharing information. At the end of 2012, my husband and I are retiring and relocating in Springfield, Missouri. | |

 | Wow this is so fantastic I am so grateful to you for this. I and all my siblings never met our grandfather and have not been able to find his death certificate. I was born in 1957 and as you can see by his gravestone he did 7 years before I was born.
I plan to send this to all my siblings there are 11 of us.
You have done our family a great service that we appreciate very much. I also was not aware that my grandmother Pearl are together and share the gravestones it looks so nice.
Thank you so much for your kindness in taking this photo and posting it here for us.

 | P. M. Goen Thank you for your work on the Aaron cemetery in Olustee,OK. I have also visited the cemetery as I have several family members buried there. You will be interested to know that Prentiss M. Goen was the husband to my 2nd great Aunt. The family story is that Mr. Goen was killed when a tornado struck their house on May 14, 1892. The infant daughter Phillippi's death date is unknown but was surely close to the same date as her father as they share the same headstone.
