I have been doing genealogy for app. 32 years now. It started out as a mere interest. But since then, I believe it has reached the incurable disease state. |
I am researching both my husbands and my ancestors. Surnames are - -
Roger Wheeler (Ancestry Surnames) -
Wheeler - Messer - Barnes - Starnes - Whitney - Camden - Hampton - Keeling - Willis - Sweazey - Youngblood - Biddlecomb - Brice - Raymes - Elam - Smith - Heaton - Highbarger - Morris - Tuttle - Robinson - Nevett - Wasson - Stanley - Williams - Nolan - Martin - Dunn
Deborah (Burger) Wheeler (Ancestry Surnames) -
Burger - Patton - Weiesnbach - Leonard - Miller - Lowery - Stokes - Phipps - House - Jarvis - Cook - Kuykendall - Sitz - Duckworth - Dodson - Holt - Harris - Raines - McCune - Stiemetz - Reese - Graves - Lockhart - Eads - Smith - Scott - Walton - Morlan
In the last few years I have started doing my grandchildrens genealogy; those names are -
Baker - Cawthon - Thompson - Lacefield - Rea - Kibat - Valdivia - Munoz - Zeman - Bernard - Mohawk
For most of my genealogy years - I researched without a computer and the internet; but I finally gave in and started researching over the internet. It's wonderful! What took me ten years to find hand-searching, I can now have in ten seconds over the internet. But I still have quite a few problems when it comes to the computer, especially in down-loading photos; and I LOVE !!!! photos and family stories to go along with the statistics; I even have added favorite family recipes in my genealogy. (I figure any info. that will enable my Great-Great-Grandchildren in the years to come to know who their family is is vitally important. Good Luck to everyone on their research and God Bless All. Debbie

HI Debbie, Check out the picture I added to Bill Casterline's page. Do you think you could transfer his page to my account #48171910?
|Stephen Kronberg||William L. Casterline at Acacia|
Hello Debbie - I have added several thousand memorials at Acacia and I can assure you that I do a search before adding every memorial. Arlene (Casterline) Culver has been requesting transfer of this memorial since July of this year, and as this was her second cousin, it did not meet Find A Grave guidelines for transfer. I am surprised if yours was there for 4 years she did not contact you previously?
This being said, I have documented what you have and will delete my memorial. You may add a photo request for William and for his mother Rev. Bessie Casterline and mention that I have the photo in the request remarks. Thank you, Stephen

Hi Debbie, No I don't have any pictures or info about Bessie, in fact the info I had said Bessie Brugess. Herb was my great uncle, my Grandfather's brother. The lady in the pict. is Aunt Mary, taken in 1961 for their 25th Anniversary. Did you get the message from the gal in WA about her page on Bessie. That was more info than I've ever seen. I knew he had a first wife, mother of Bill (Who I did know and have some pictures of) but never heard anything about her. I know there are a lot of Wheelers in the Coral, MI area, where are you located? If you are in the area, I'd like to get together. I've looked for Bessie different times, but probably always figured she was in MI, so always came up empty. The Rev. part has me very curious. My # is 231-937-5303.

Thank you letting me know he already had a memorial :) I moved my picture and deleted my memorial. I'm so glad he has family to take care of his memorial.

Hi Debbie, We photographed Dorthea Green's stone today in the GAR. When I uploaded it, I recognized her as one of the children whose parents I have searched unsuccessfully for, Minnie and William Patton. I did come across the death certificate for the infant daughter, Dorthea's sister, who was stillborn and buried Peace Church Cemetery in Joplin, Missouri. If you would like to have this for your records, flash me a reply with your mailing addy and I will send it to you. Sadly, I still can find no further records for her mother and father. The baby does have an uncle buried next to her and listed as Patten and Patton, both, on records available. Roberta
thank you for your suggestion for Troy Messer and I've added his mother as you wished~ if you'd like I can transfer him to you if that's okay with you...let me know and I'll be happy to transfer him~

Please don't ever feel like you are disturbing me. I don't mind adding your information at all. In fact, I enjoy seeing who belongs to who, and I love the pictures. Just do a check on the links to make sure they are right and let me know if I need to add more. :)
