Don is buried in Knollkreg Memorial Cemetary in Abindgdon,VA. I don't know if you have an ancestry.com account, but if you do, you are more than welcome to take a look at my tree there. It's public. If you have trouble viewing it (apparently I have two accounts, one without a tree), I can invite you to the tree as a contributor, but I'd need your email address for that. If you are willing to share it, you can email it to me on facebook, or you can send me an email at my personal email account: firstname.lastname@example.org. I have several photos fromDon's funeral attached to him in my tree on ancestry. I've speaking with Beatrice off and on over the past month, and she sent me quite a few pictures a couple ofweeks ago. There is even one of you. :)
Thanks for the photo. Shame that her death date never got engraved on tombstone.
Keep up the good work!
|Holly Benton||James Glenn Hawks|
Hi, Paul. I am hoping you can help me out with a little information. I need to confirm that James Glenn Hawks had a brother named Donald Ross Hawks. Their mother's name was Lillie May Hawks. And as far as I know, her husband's name was Jack Hawks. Donald is my mother's father. I have been trying to trace this side of the family tree for years and have hit one dead end after another. Great-granny Hawks (Lillie) once told me her parents names were William Allen Williams and Rosetta Shackleford. This is as far back as I have been able to get. If these people are part of your family, too, I would really appreciate hearing from you so I can maybe fill in some of these blanks. I know also that Lillie had a sister named Carolyn. There were some residences in Kentucky, Virginia, California, and Washington state. Any help you could offer would greatly appreciated! Thanks so much!

Thank you so much for the photo's of the McQuinn's. You did such a Great Job showing where they are since they do not have a Marker. I tried to put the pictures on there Memorial's myself , but I do not know how to do the Pixel size that they want. Could you put them up for me or if you could tell me how to make the picture smaller . Wow, you have really made my day - or maybe even my month! I had been led to believe that Minnie Harwell did not have a headstone & was about to take up a collection of interested relatives to get her one - but now I don't have to. Thanks so much for taking photos of Minnie and her brother Harris' headstones - they are excellent photos and being able to see both headstones means a lot to me & other relatives. Thanks a million for your help!
