|Ron Craig||RE: Old Family|
I have searched my records and the only reference I have been able to find is that "Mary" Find a Grave contributor #46536583 gave me some data on the Old family.
Perhaps she knows about this?

I'm glad that I can help! And you're really on the ball - I just posted Lillian yesterday.
Would you like for me to transfer to you so that you can link her to her parents?
|Tricia the Spirit Chaser🌷||RE: Cecelia Darby Old Batte|
thank you for your message. I had put her in the wrong cemetery. I had been researching the Darby's and had accidently placed Cecelia in the incorrect cemetery. Yes, her grave is not marked and I truly believe she is buried in Kellyville. Her daughter, Hattie lee, I found TODAY in the death certificates of Virginia. She did not have a memorial so I created one for her and linked her to her mother and father.
Hattie and William Batte were in Jefferson, Marion County Texas in the 1870 census. The informant on Hattie's d/c (Mrs. H. M. Butler) states Hattie was born in Kellyville. Since she was 6 (born in 1864) it stands to reason they were in Kellyville when Cecelia died in 1868. thanks for catching my error.
Wondering if you are related to the Old Family buried in family cemetery near Petersburg, Lincoln County, Tenn?

Sorry, I don't remember where his grave was located in the cemetery. But you might check at the Shiner library or the Halletsville library for the books by Sammy Tise on Lavaca County cemeteries. I think he did a total of five books "Lavaca County Cemetery Records". You will find them in the genealogy section. Perhaps you will find a plot number for Robert Lee.

I just had lots of info to share - - I think there is a family connection - - but not my direct ancestors for sure ..
|Terry Melton||Elizabeth Mariah Bowles Patterson|
Sorry but I submitted an edit in error to unlink Elizabeth Mariah Bowles Patterson from John Bowles. I was trying to unlink Nancy Rainwater from John Bowles. My great grandmother, Nancy Rainwater was the child of James Rainwater (the blacksmith not the preacher) and Apposley Cunningham Rainwater. Not sure who linked her to John Bowles, but I'm fairly sure there is no connection. She was born, reared, and died in Campbell, Carroll, and Floyd counties in Georgia.

Thank you for adding the picture and letting me know. Pictures always add to the memorial. MHN

|J Deans||RE: Francis Old Dean|
Like you I checked ancestry and found nothing. She seems to have been from Norfolk and there is an Old family there then but not her.
I'm going out of town but when I get back I'll dig thru some "old" email addys and I might be able to find some of her Deans descendants and you can ask them but not today.
