David Irwin I see that you are maintaining the David Irwin site and have a question. I found this ancestor living in Byron Center, Michigan in 1900. Most records indicate he was born in 1811 (census records). Find-A-Grave shows him being born in 1799. Do you have documentation of this birth date? Was it only derived from the newspaper article attached? Do you have documentation that he died in California? It's hard to grasp that he left Byron Center between 1900 and 1901 to go to California when he was somewhere between 89 and 101 years old. Thank you for any information you might have.
Dianne Lane (David Irwin is my 3rd great grandfather.)
RE: Sarah Caldwell Outhouse Oh you have NO idea how many cousins you have. Our historian has compiled a genealogy that includes 30,000 names. I've only got a tad over 10,000 of those myself. Enjoy the newsletter!
RE: Sarah Caldwell Outhouse We just came out with the latest newsletter. It's a PDF so if you can send me your email, I'll forward you my copy. My email is myfamroots (at)comcast.net. There will be information in about the reunion, how to join etc. I also have a Facebook page. Many of the members are your cousins in Canada. Search on Outhouse Family Historical Society. So nice to meet another cousin!
RE: Sarah Caldwell Outhouse I don't know if you are aware of this, but there is an Outhouse Family Historical Society. We have about 500 members throughout the US and Canada. We put out a newsletter three times a year and hold reunions in different parts of the US every other year. This year is Colorado (I'm hosting). Let me know if you'd like more info. Lynne (Outhouse) Bliss
George E Lindsey Hi Paula, I think I had entered this memorial because someone had a photo request for Mesa Lindsey and we found there was no memorial entered her husband George. The William Lindsey listed in the family links is a sibling, not a son. I seem to recall that someone had previously contacted me about this memorial, I suspect it was to add the parental links. I have not done any research on this family, so I cant say with certainty that the links are correct. I would be willing to transfer the memorial to you and let you make any corrections or additions as you see fit. As for the Hanks connection, my family comes from Marion Co.,IL. I have a couple of Hanks relatives in the Macon County area but for the most part there is no connection.
RE: Caroline Plumb Outhouse Cossaboom Sorry not to have sent this sooner, but I have been in the midst of a lot of work on the tree, and have now uploated the newest version to Ancestry.com. You can see it at http://trees.ancestry.com/tree/82173469/family
I have also been adding a lot of records to Findagrave, so you may find some more things there.
You are probably very familiar with the Digby GenWeb site and with the Nova Scotia Historical Vital Statistics websites, but if not, I could send you the links. I use those a lot!
Caroline Plumb Outhouse Cossaboom My husband is related to her Outhouse husband I believe but will check my records later. We are in the car on our way home but we' were just in Nova Scotia for a couple of weeks. There are lots of Outhouse families there. My husband is related to a fair number of them. I do have a tree for his family on Ancestry.com and could send you the link if it might be of help to you.
