Bio and Links
Bio Photo Hello! I have become interested in my family's genealogy mainly due to the influence of my Aunt Mary Ellen (my dad's sister) who supplied me with a framework of information about our family heritage. She was keenly interested, in part, because both sides of her family, Sanderson and Jenisch, lived on adjacent property in Lewis County, Washington and are considered to be pioneer families in Washington state. There were two marriages between the Sandersons and Jenisches which firmly rooted the families in the state. Other family names from the next generation in Chehalis include; Butler, Thompson, Oppe, and Riedle. These families are my blood relatives as well and are being researched and added as my time and resources allow.
I would like to represent each family member who has passed on with an on-line memorial such as on Find-A-Grave. I am also making progress with my mom's side (Hugill and Vaughan)and am having some success, although the families came to Washington state (from England and Montana respectively) at a little later time, and were not nearly as proliphic! I am also very much interested in being able to personally manage these memorials as I am able to make much more extensive contributions than is someone who who knows nothing about each person. For this reason I may ask for memorial transfers. There are lots of gaps that I am unable to, or don't find the time to fill in, so I am asking all my family members and friends of the family to please post photos or other helpful aritcles, or you can just forward them to me and I will post them when I am able to.
I do appreciate the work that so many have done for FAG since this makes it much easier for everyone. Many of us have no idea where our deceased family members are buried and this is a useful tool to explore our past and to pass the information to future generations.

Thank you again!
I appreciate the nice words.
Most people chew me out about the bio.
Giving me a bunch of excuses.
I just take pictures for anyone and everyone...
Isn't that the point?
Usually when I'm out for a claimed memorial, I take many more just random pictures and post them if there is not a photo there.
I'll make sure I leave the Mother Joseph ones for you next time! ;--)
Thanks again!

Edith Marcuson
So sorry I was unable to fulfill your photo request for Edith Marcuson. Although staff has confirmed she is interred at Claquato Cemetery, after repeated searches of the designated area, I was unable to find a gravemaker for her. The location of her gravesite is in the Garden of Memories, Section 3, Plot 36, Lot 7.

Regards,

Thank you so very much for asking.
A newbie to find a grave, and already I have encounted people (1 person in particular) who go out and take photos and post them anyways.
It is very discouraging when I have claimed a memorial, lug my 3 kids out to the cemetery, get home, upload the photo, only to see that someone else has done it already.
So again, thank you very much for inquiring beforehand.
Regards

Hi Tom,
I am also nearby and am on my way.
I have many family members interred at Mother Joseph and enjoy visiting them frequently.
Thank you for asking, but no, I'll be photographing and posting shortly.
Regards

Just to let you know I was in the library in Billings today and looking at obits. Noticed there is also a Mountain View cemetery in Livingston Montana and there is a George Vaughn buried there so you might want to check that out if the one in Billings didn't match the dates you were looking for.

RE: Thank you for the picture!
I don't know if it would be helpful - but besides the LDS familysearch site (which is fantastic) some Washington records have been digitized and are free online at http://www.digitalarchives.wa.gov/

good luck in your searching!

RE: Lillian Sanderson
I totally agree with you that she deserves a headstone. So many honored dead are buried in Calvary without one or with a temporary cement one that wears down too quickly. I've not had the chance to go out to Calvary again so I took the claim down.

RE: Thank you for the picture!
Hi Tom,

You're welcome. I like this part of Calvary cemetery in particular because it is dedicated to the priests and nuns who served in the Archdiocese. It's in a central spot in what is actually a very beautiful cemetery. I love the photo of Catherine Ann (Mary Loretta) Sanderson you have on her memorial too! What a wonderful picture.

When we were looking for her, we came across a Charles and Agnes Sanderson- any relation? I took photos just in case they were related.

Best, Katie
