Bio and Links
Bio Photo My wife and I have been dabbling in genealogy since 1991. Luckily we lived in the Washington DC area when we got started. The National Archives are the best. Now that the kids have gotten grown up a bit, we are easing back into the genealogy again. Lots of changes between 1991 and now. Tons of stuff available online for one thing.

Family surnames I am researching are WILLIAMSON, WILSEY, WELLBORN, MAYFIELD, MURRAY/MURRY, GARMON, PONDER, GUTHRIE, ADAIR, SCHOOLCRAFT, and CARR. Most of these are in the southeast with the exception of SCHOOLCRAFT and WILSEY which are in Wisconsin and New York around 1900 and earlier.

We haven't talked in a while. Did you notice that someone added a picture of Henry Z.'s son William H. and his wife. Someone had creted a memorial for the wife and put that she had no children. I contacted her and told her that there were several but that they all died young and were buried near the father, William, in Cullman County.
Did you ever figure out where Henry Z died? It would be wonderful to find an obit for him.

Bozeman Adair photo
I believe that this photo is of Bozeman H. Adair, Bozeman's grandson, and son of John Bluett. Bozeman H.'s son Robert Lee was my grandfather.

I got the photo from Robert Adair's "Bozeman H. Adair Family". I don't know where he got it.

Adair Cemetery
Thank you SO MUCH for posting the photos of Adair Family Cemetery in DeKalb County, Georgia. John Fisher Adair and Mary Slaven were my 3x great-grandparents. I had been told their stones were no longer in existence, but I'm so glad to see they're still there, even if they are in disrepair. Thank you again!

Frances Marion Newborn Guthrie
I have a Guthery line. Mine were in Cullman County Alabama. Your Frances Guthrie was in Cullman County in 1900(Dermid Dist. page 291), 1910 (Adams Dist. page 164), and in 1920 (Willow Springs page 152-in the household of her grandson, James H. Oakley, mother-Margaret J. 63, Wd. and GUTHRIE grandmother 94 Wd. Ga.) And she is in the Alabama Death Index-Frances Marion Guthrie-95 y. 6 m. 1 d. Oct. 3, 1921, spouse-"Z" father-William Hickman, mother Lucy Luck, died at Logan, Cullman County Alabama. Does her tombstone say 1919? I know that there are mistakes in Bible records, death certificates, and tombstones. I just try to gather as much info as I can. We are trying to find out if Henry Z. was a brother or our David Guthery (born 1811). David was in the son of Henry Guthery (born 1771 in Virginia) and they were in Cherokee lands in 1830. Check my Gutherys in Brushy Creek and Prospect cemeteries in Cullman County Alabama.

Wellborn line of Bosque, TX
I have recently discovered a connection with the Wellborn family. I love the photo you have posted of William James Wellborn and family.
Would you happen to have one of John Weston? I am researching via John's first wife Georgeanna Ivey.
Please contact me at
Thank you
