RE: Josey Family Yes I do. It was Jesse Willard Josey, married Essie Cathleen Hicks. His brother, George Ralph Josey married Mary Lee Hicks. They were the sisters of my grandmother, Martha Saphronia Elsia Hicks (married Rheuben Nathaniel Madden). Always known as just Elsie.
Uncle Willard has a military gravestone next to Essie in Almarante Cemetery, Laurel Hill, along with their son Zelmer and his children Stephen Zelmer & Melissa Ann.
BUT, Uncle Willard had later remarried, after Aunt Essie's death, to Daisy Harris (previously married to Nelson Everett McGrath). One of the 'findagravers' has a memorial for Uncle Willard in Live Oak Baptist Church Cem., in Crestview, noted as next to Daisy. Thing is, the photo shows a bare grave for him and a beautiful one for her.
I honestly don't know which cemetery he is in. I hate to think he's next to Daisy with no gravestone, only a 'tin marker', when up in Almarante there is a stone for him, showing his WW II service. He was in the Navy. It's crazy.
George Ralph Josey & Mary Lee Hicks are in Almarante. George died in 1941, just before the birth of their second son, is what Aunt Mary Lee had told me.

After some flipping a coin a few times (so to speak), I linked Essie to Willard's memorial in Crestview, next to Daisy, because of that tin marker, I'm supposing that he indeed must be there and that up at Almarante is just a cenotaph for him. I don't know for certain on either though.
George Ralph & Jesse Willard's parents, Francis Maybelle "Fannie" Matthews & Roland Edgar Josey are also at Almarante. They are linked to their sons.
RE: Bernice Barefoot Hi Clint, I know some on Richard. Our family's have known each other since 1972, there 'bouts. I'm also related to his wife (I just found out a few years ago). We knew him through working for W.C. Jones in Crestview, their "Jr. Food Stores", now known as Tom Thumb stores. Richard was the head accountant for years. My mother and her sisters were managers of several of the stores, with several of us, their children, working as cashiers. Richard & family are in the same town as I am. Their youngest son was in my son's grade, graduated together. Their daughter was in the class of my husband's niece.
Um, what specifically do you want to know? I may or may not know it, but if not, I might can find out. (small town, everyone knows everyone else, for the most part at any rate.)
I am not related to Mr. Arnold, (that I know of). I'm just nosy. :D I transferred his memorial to Find A Grave a year or two ago. You'll have to ask them to transfer it to you. However, I was able to get them to correct his name.
