RE: Loftin Cemetery Clarke Co. Al.
It's been several years since I was there. It was not really badly overgrown. The previous game warden Robert Hill 334 636-5868 (contact for Loftin cem) took me and my cousin there. It's on private property off the Bashi Rd, just West of Thomasville before Elam. Here is the GPS location: : Lat 31.57.46N Lon 87.48.51W

At that time Robert was going to meet with someone from the Univ of AL to run a machine across the land to locate all the graves. There was suppose to be a work day before that happened, but we never heard any more from Robert. I would like to go back one day. I posted the pictures I took on the Loftin Cemetery site on Find a Grave.

I don't know if Robert is still around or not. Please keep in touch, my email is junemartin0614@att.net.

Have you ever looked at Bill Boyds' site and information on the family? Here is the link: http://www.billsgenealogy.com

The Giles may be buried in Loftin. There are many unmarked graves as you can see from the pictures. A retired game warden took us there. The cemetery is on private property. When we went there was a chain across the road.

Lee Cemetery
Since Elder John Lee is buried here, I wonder if his parents are buried here as well. According to Sons of the American Revolution files, his father, James died in Indiana. Are ALL the graves in this cemetery already on Findagrave?
