I want to thank each of you for your thoughts
and prayers. Your kindness means a great deal
to me and my family.

I'm retired, doing genealogy work & enjoy helping on the findagrave.com website. I'm a proud Okie., born & raised in Oklahoma. I am of Cherokee decent, as my Great Grandfather and Grandfather signed the Dawes Rolls. I have been doing my 'Long' family tree for years and have found so many cousins online.
It has certainly been interesting and most enjoyable meeting and hearing from new distant family members. I have learned so much about
my ancestors and their lives down through the generations, I hope to perserve their memories for future generations to come. This is why I like working on the findagrave site, hoping to help others looking for their loved ones. I have found others to be very helpful and kind to share information.
My husband and I are enjoying our church, family & early retirement.
Aren't the Grands Fun?!!!
We have two beautiful granddaughters.
Madison, 10 and Gracie 8........

If I have made any mistakes, or
you would like to have your family
info added to their page, please contact
me and I'll be happy to add it for you.

Thank you...Phyllis

I want to also say thank you for taking the time to visit my loved ones memorial pages and leaving a note for them. God Bless You

A Special'Thank You'to 'God's Special Angel'

RE: Long family
Hi Phyllis,
I would be glad to send you the info I have, however, I need a date of the Isaac you are interested in. I have eleven Isaacs, all the way from 1738 through the 1800s.
Isaac Long (1808-1878) is my 2nd great grand uncle. The others are cousins plus removed a number of times.
Let me know & I send you the info.

RE: James Long/Murphy Cemetery/#63326343
Wish I could help, but I think you have a different James. From various sources: James and family lived in Indiana after Tennessee. Then to Missouri to Robidoux Landing. Their daughter, Highley Long, married Frederick Summa, her family followed them to Gentry county, MO to live. James Long died there and a great-granddaughter believes he is buried at Murphy Cemetery though there was never a monument placed at his grave. James' father was Henry Long born 1765 Culpepper, VA, died 1838 Greene, TN. Henry's father was Ware Long born 1691 Wales, died 1803 Culpepper, VA.

I did find a James H Long b 1788 Lincoln county NC, d 1850-60 Big Creek Twp, Greene co, AR son of Daniel Long b 11 Apr 1757 Culpepper, d 11 May 1838 South Carolina. He married Elizabeth Maddox. But then the history didn't say any more about James! So I'll have to see if I can find any more.

RE: Ray Long/Ballard Cemetery/Ok.
Dear Phyllis: You are very welcome. It sounds like you grew up in the same time era as I did. I really do long for those days when you could pull a sled behind a car. Those days are long gone. I live in the home that my Dad built and there are so many memories, but oh how our quiet little town has changed. Have a wonderful weekend.
