RE: Betty Nichols Wendell
Hi, Sha. Unfortunately, I haven't researched her parents. Once I am able to focus more on genealogy (in Dec) I'll try and locate info for you. I know they lived in WV for many years.

Do you have an ancestry account?

Take care,

This is from the list made when I visited the cemetery. But the bio info is from C.Walker. He got the info from the Curry Funeral Book. That is all I know. If you have different info than the Curry Funeral Home book, please call them to see where they obtained there info.

I was trying to remember what Junior's given name was - yes, Carl King, his wife Eylyn, and Danny Thompson was a son-in-law - when Evlyn died I believe March 11 (Columbus Dispatch Obits, still accessible) a while back, one of the daughters died within days I believe March 14, so they did a correction, and they did a combined service for Carl's wife and daughter - mom's people would talk religion, (they really didn't know meaning behind scriptures, etc.), but, they rarely practiced it correctly and then there was my mother, who thought herself unworthy, was more generous, always willing to sacrifice for all of them, she loved all of them dearly including her nieces and nephews!!! I will send you my email address to your email address...what do you know of Crate and Jennie's deaths?

I wish I could remember more, I remember that mom flew to Florida, I believe to claim Orville when he died, I had almost forgot that, I don't recall his last name being used, I know mom was so sad over his death. Please anything you do find, please let me know, I have been wanting to go down to Kentucky for the Kings and the Abdons - my sister use to go with my parents down there, I was always doing something and never went except several times when I was very young, now in reflection, I wish I would have went more. Take care, hugs, Cheryl

RE: Jennie Culwell King
hi, as you know my mother's parents were Jennie and Crate King, I can't remember when and where they died, but, mom's siblings are Brothers: Richard (Jean) King, both deceased; Junior (Pearlie) King, both deceased; Ray (deceased) (Erma) King; Buck (Sue) King; Orville King (deceased); sisters: Julia Mae King Tilton (deceased); Florence King Hannah (Henry); Doris King Conley - mom was born in Paintsville, Ky., I know she said they died very young, with all the trauma in our lives can't remember the details, if my older brother and younger sister were alive, they would probably remember more, especially, my baby sister. Florence King Hannah still lives I believe in Paintsville, Ky., mom's baby sister Doris did live in Ashland, Ky., I believe divorced her husband Corky Conley and she moved to Florida, Julia May's kids I believe live in Bellefontaine, Ohio, Buck and Sue King live in Ashland, Ky also, although, not for sure these days - my mother was treated horribly by the people who took her down in the hills after their parents died, she was such a very young child, heard of through the siblings, my mother was a saint and talked dearly of Crate and Jennie. Sorry, I couldn't help more, call into the local courthouse and/or such in these areas for possible phone numbers/addresses. Will be watching for links, have a blessed week and maybe keep in touch - I just lost my step-son, my husband's baby of the two boys, Jan. 4, 2013, a day later he would have been 40 yrs old, so in the last 2 and a half years, lost my older brother 12-12-2010 (59 yrs), my baby sister 10-3-12 (55 yrs) and my step-son, so my memory isn't too great right now, take care...
