I am a grandson of William Ben Dowless (1894-1960).
I was born in 1943 in Abbottsburg, Bladen County, North Carolina. I now live in Monroe, NC.

Family surnames are Dowless & Walters. Mostly in Bladen County, NC.

| John Daniel Dowless and Addie Elizabeth Jackson?
Bobby,
If I have my family tree correct, you & I are 3rd cousins.
I believe your ancestor J.D. Dowless is John Daniel Dowless, who was married to Addie Elizabeth Jackson.
Addie's parents were George Washington Jackson & Mary (Freeman?), who are one set of my Great-Great-Grandparents, & if I am correct, they are yours as well.
What are your thoughts? Have you ever linked your family to Jacksons?
