Jane Smith @ Mount Hope
Cemetery records indicate that Jane was found frozen to death and placed in the vault to wait for burial until the ground thawed. There is no record of where she was eventually buried. She lived on St. Paul St and died at age 61.

It is always a pleasure. That one had me stumped for a while as I couldn't make the name out too well.

Lula A Bellamy Wirth
You are listed as a contributor with a note on this Find A Grave page,94117189.

I am almost confident this woman is the first husband of my grandfather, William J Wirth. He died in August 1971 and I cannot find where he may be buried. Lura (Laura) is listed as his wife in the 1930 census in Denver and on the 1940 census, my grandfather is listed as widowed. I found the marriage license 8/1922 and that coincides with information on the 1930 census. Do you have any information on Lura B Wirth or hopefully my grandfather, William J Wirth? I appreciate any information you may have. Thank you for your kindness and assistance.

Thanks for the link to the source article.

Yes, we (Chisago County Historical Society) are aware of these deaths and potential burials without markers. However, there is no definitive proof this was the final disposition for everyone on the list. A few names have shown up in the pauper sections of nearby cemeteries during subsequent audits and photography. The newspaper article is not dated, but the residential development mentioned was platted about 10 years ago.

Would you please consider adding a comment in the bio section that this cemetery is the potential burial site for Loren W Carnes although no marker or supporting documentation (actual MN State burial record) has been found as of (the date you create the memorial).

You probably already know there is a MN Death Index record showing certid# 1932-MN-002446 noting his death certificate was filed in Chisago County on 17-Jul-1932. We have not had the funds to purchased copies of these documents to review the content of the 40 people on this list. Sometimes the burial location is named but often that information is, unfortunately, blank.

Thank you for contributing to the Find A Grave records and specifically, to the Chisago County memorial(s).

CARNES, Loren W # 130983582
Last June (2014) you added this memorial to the Green Acres Poor Farm Cemetery located east of North Branch, Chisago County, Minnesota:

http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GScid=2265837&GRid=130983582&

Can you share the source of information that puts Loren W Carnes in this cemetery?

There have been many researchers who have tried to identify all the burials in the two Poor Farms of Chisago County. We are always looking for any new sources or records that escaped our attention.

You can email me directly at robert.chudek@gmail.com if you wish.

Thank you!

Let me know when you are done with his memorial. I will add his photo. I see he died young. Another son of Fred died young. Edward was of murder a couple years earlier, the memorial reads. That poor family.
