|Danny||John Jennings Smith|
Hi. I'm looking for my great, great granddad. I think he was John Jennings Smith. I cannot find anything to connect him with a Permelia, except on findagrave.

Mr. BK - Am looking for William Christian Davis. Could the William C. Davis in Ephesus be him? He was married to a Matilda, both from NC. I notice here that Matilda is married to a James Madison Davis. Would really appreciate your helping point me in the right direction. William would be a 2x great grandfather. Fay Walker/ rfwalker199
|Patricia J Cumbie||Gambles|
Mr. Gamble, how are you kin to the Gambles? My husband's great grandmother was a Gamble, David Gamble's, daughter Nancy Jane Gamble. Married to Charles Cumbee or Cumbie, the names has been spelled both ways....Thank you for all the work you have done on the Gamble family on findagrave.
|Ken Hendricks||Martha Gamble|
Can't be her; I don't think she would have been that old when she died. Sorry for previous message.
|Ken Hendricks||Martha Gamble, Tallapoosa County, Alabama|
I am trying to find the grave of my great-grandmother and I think this may be her. She died when my grandmother (her daughter) was quite young and before they moved to Mississippi. She was married to John M. Gamble and had four children (Rosie, John, Bea, and Jewel). My grandmother remembers that she died of what was then called Bright's Disease. If you can confirm this it would be appreciated. My great-aunt Bea lived near Daviston, Alabama.
I wrote Find A Grave and told them they were sending it to the wrong place, and wrote you.
Now I get a notice that it has been excepted. (Changes)
I am getting your edits from ancestry-

|T.J. White||Jane Beatrice White Gamble|
Hi, I believe I am related to Jane. Her parents were Henry M. and Martha E. White, originally from Dekalb County, Ga. Martha (b. Dec. 1813) was also a White before marriage, and was a daughter of my ancestor Jacob "Jake" White (1772-1861) and his wife Sarah Williams (b.1778 SC.). I am descended from Martha's brother William Wilson White (1800-1895, also on Find-a-Grave), who stayed in Dekalb (later Fulton) County, Ga. his whole life. My Dad was also born in Atlanta. I sure would appreciate it if you would respond so we can discuss these matters! I have been searching for living descendents of Henry and Martha White for many years now! Thanks, T.J. (Terry) White. |Wes Truitt||RK and Ella Truitt|
Ephesus Cem in Tallapoosea Co., AL you have two memorials, Rk(Robert Kellem) Truitt and Ella Truitt (27367121) could you please link them together as husband and wife. Thank You,
|K. Martin||Minnie Lee Martin Gamble|
Do you know if Minnie Lee Martin was the daughter of Ella (aka Jane) Beard Martin and Jack Martin? I think that Jack Martin was really George Martin who was born in Mississippi. He married Martha Hasseltine Hennington in Mississippi. They had one daughter (Annie) in MS and then moved to Johnson Station Texas. They had one more child there - Melton Carter Martin (see findagrave memorial 21439617). Martha died in Texas about 1872 and George married Ella Beard. They had three daughters. I don't know the birth order, but family legend says they were Lena, Minnie Lee, and Myrtle. Minnie Lee was born 25 December 1875.
Does any of this family history sound familiar?
