SQUIRES/WILSON/EDWARDS & DEWITT/TOWN/BLOWERS/DOW Genealogy is like a Family Puzzle of names. Fitting the pieces together can be quite a challenge. Sometimes they don't fit just right and you keep looking for the right "Piece" to complete it. It is truly rewarding to know your "Ancestors" and honor them. I have 42 Virtual Cemeteries listed on my profile and would be happy to share them with relatives upon request.

 | Heman Squires/William Squires Joyce, I have been doing some tracing back and found that I have some information for you. I have traced ancestry back to Heman Squires. The path takes me through William, the only son of Heman Jr. He married Sarah Elizabeth Anderson. She was born 9/14/1851 and died 2/11/1942. William Irving Squires and Sarah Elizabeth married 8/16/1870
William and Sarah had a son (thought to have had a daughter, but not sure). His name was Francis Winfred Squires, and he married Ruth Elizabeth Walker. Francis born 10/10/1875 Died 3/22/1966. Ruth was born 6/16/1898 died 3/27/1959. They were married 8/6/1919. My grandmother (Luella) was a daughter to Francis and Ruth. She had two sisters and a brother.
Any information on Heman Sr. Squires? Jason Haldemann 8haldjl@gmail.com | | | Helen Radtke
 | RE: Squires grave correction Oops, that last drive is on the "east" end of the cemetery. You do follow the outer/perimeter drive north to where it turns to the west. Then you should see the large tree and the heart shaped stone.

 | RE: Squires grave site Joyce, I don't know how familiar you are with this cemetery. If you take the last drive into the cemetery (west end)and follow this outer drive to the north. I believe I found this grave very close to the one for Vernon Dean Squires. In one of the photos on the Vernon D. Squires grave you can see a large tree in the distance and you can also see a heart shaped gravestone. I actually used these as reference markers to find the stone for Dorothy. Do you live in the area? We have lots of snow now so I probably won't be taking photos until spring.
Merry Christmas. Helen | | | Norma S Rice

this might give you a lead of where to look....this is the only plot listing that City of Evart gives....http://www.evart.org/?page_id=248
see information on how to check to see what records they might have other than the plot location and who the name the plot was under. Vernie was the only name listed on the records indexed on line. s. | | | Thomas Squires
 | Fellow Squires I recently started trying to get my family tree figured out. Through some information my late Grandfather gathered I believe we may have some common ancestors. I believe Heman Squires Sr. is a common link for us. If I'm correct I believe he is my 5th Great Grandfather. I would like to speak with you sometime to discuss the possible link. | | | Bruce J. | Squires Hi Joyce.
My great-great grandparents were Frank & Fannie Squires of the Coventry, Tolland County, Connecticut area. They had a son, Albert and a daughter, my great grandmother, Alice.
Alice was married to Arthur D Beaumont, my great-great grandfather. They had 5 children, one of which was my grandfather Leroy Francis Beaumont.
Alice died at approx 25 yrs of age from TB.
If you have any information concerning this Squires clan I would like to hear from you.
Thanks so much,
Sherri Evans-Czmyr | | | Sara L. Johnson
 | Mary "Polly" Squiers Elliott Mary "Polly" Squiers Elliott was my great grandfather's great grandmother. I have stories about the Elliotts that he wrote. One of them lead me to the Elliot burials in Willing Township, Alleghany county. Polly was the daughter of Heman and Kesiah Squires. I was just at the Italy Hill Cemetery Friday this week and took a series of photos of many of my ancestors who are buried there. The other families are Curtiss(McLeod) and Lamphier. I will try to put up the Elliott photos on the Beech Hill Cemetery as soon as possible. Sara Johnson | | | tcrm90
 | Amos E. Squires Hello Joyce! I am interested in the mother of Amos Edward Squires (1870-1951). As I believe it, her name was Nancy Jane Lewis (b. 1846). She and Amos' father Charles divorced by 1880, and I think she then married Timothy T. Kelley (1845-1928). If so, she is my great-great-great grandmother.
