Berta Pollock @ Forest Park Cemetery in Houston
I see you added a picture request for Berta Pollock @ Forest Park Cemetery in Houston. I try to go there at least every other week. If you would call the cemetery at 713-928-5141 and get a "SECTION" and "LOT" I will try to get the picture you want. This is a very large (225+) acre cemetery and without a location would be very hard to find.

Thank you,
Cecil Vaden Jr

Fairlawn okc Hess photo request
Ok ... Here is the scoop.... He is buried in the Catholic section... Which is not maintained by Fairlawn, but by the Catholic Charities! I had a bit of a go around with th last year regarding the deplorable conditions of the catholic section... Sunken dirt covered, totally overgrown ... Couldn't even see some of the markers! I explained what I was doing , on a volunteer basis... And asked about getting it cleaned up, her response was priceless... If I wasn't a family member woth a complaint there really wasnt anything she could do!! I guess the look on my face had her start explaining that this would cost money!..?.. Yes so... Well she would have to get approval... Ok, so?? I mumbled something about sharing this with every one I knew... I was tempted to go unearth them myself, find families, let them know, & cover stones back up just on principle!! But they didnt waste any time getting out there.... I must of mentioned it to the right person! I didnt even recognize the area the next time I went out there! So here is your delima, call Jeff at Fairlawn to get the phone number, tell them your family and is overgrown & u cant see the marker...sect. 5 along fence, overgrown w/ crepe myrtle ( it was 104, i was on my hands & knees trying to find it I am not sure if it is even marked, i got to hot & gave up, so i will keep watching for yhem to clip yhe hedge row & i will look again! RE: Mary E Matthews Cain
Thank you so very much for bringing this typo to my attention. At times, I work really long hours and then when I get home make attempts to get a little genealogical information posted online. When I am too tired, I make mistakes. This is one of those times. I have corrected the error of allowing my brain to type Morgan as Mathews. Thank you kindly again!
