I am a descendant of this revolutionary war veteran and I am trying to give proof to the DAR. Are we possibly relatives? I live in NJ. Mary Anne

Hulsarts of Old Brick Reformed
I was in Old Brick today and I think I found your John and Mary Polehemus. I have the photos and I would like to send to you first before uploading since they are legible but still old. Let me know..

Since find-a-grave is a graves registration site, not a genealogy site, the rule says names are to be listed as on the stone or in the cemetery record. I am willing to make a note in the bio section, but not change the spelling, as this could easily lead to duplication.
from the FAQs :
if the interred had more than one marriage or other possible spellings please place this information in the bio

Polhemus Family Burying Ground
Hi Ruth:

I ventured out to Colts Neck yesterday to attempt to fulfill your photo request for Daniel Polhemus. I encountered numerous setbacks, not the least the inability to locate the burying ground.

The map plot provided on Find A Grave does not correspond with the Lat/Long provided. When I returned home I used and inserted the Lat/Long provided, which located the burying ground completely across Laird Road in what appears (on satellite map) to be a private dwelling. To that end, do you have additional information on how I might access the Polhemus Family Burying Ground? I will attempt to positively located the burying ground again today. Wish me luck.

Best - Gunny
